Hello, I am Enchie. I used to go by other usernames, but found my place here after a sequence of very coincidental events, which led to me changing my name:
One day in Skywars, when I was depressed (yes, I was once depressed here, I don't like to talk about it) I went through my daily routine of getting things and then giving them out to my teammates as I valued myself as worthless, due to my pvp skill. As usual, my teammates took the items and went to mid to (try to) kill the other teams. I was left, as usual with nothing, and decided to jump off the edge of the map as I considered myself to be of no use anymore. Three things however, were left in my inventory: 2 books, 3 lapis and a wooden pickaxe. There was a mound of coal and an enchanting table nearby, and I figured "Why not? I'm going to die anyway, may as well satisfy my curiosity." so I mined the coal and got enough exp to enchant the books. Then I got killed, as usual. I then went to Freebuild where I usually went to be alone for a while. I was working on a library build at the time, and I decided that an enchantment table in the middle with enchanted books in item frames around it would look nice. For some reason, I enchanted some plain books instead of getting already enchanted books, but I noticed a similarity between the enchantments from the Skywars game and in Freebuild. Curious as to whether it was a coincidence or not, and tired of breaking down the rows of bookshelves as I felt that they were too ugly, I began to test the enchantments of books. There was no coincidence. From then onwards, I made notes in the library which I'd changed to store my findings. Over time, I learned tricks to manipulate enchanting tables to get more desirable results. And then I thought "Why not try this in a game? Sure I can't pvp against an armour stand and win, but surely not many people know how to do what I've learned?" (And I was right, as far as I know, nobody except me does.) Quickly I learned that Skywars was too inhospitable for me to do my 'practical research', my teammates too 'meta headed' as I dubbed it to pay the slightest bit of attention to the weapons I had created for them. I'd die in a minuite on average. But, I heard of the clan oriented community of Lucky Islands, and thought that with less individual risks and less reliable rushing capability, I'd be better off helping people there. I was right. I noticed that a lot of serious players used the diamond kit to rush, and frequently ran into and fought with each other, so I thought that enchanting my team's gear would give them the upper hand. I was right. People noticed and appreciated my work, and I knew that I'd found a place that I'd be happy in. And ever since, I have been enchanting gear for teammates, and continuing my research, even changing my name to show that this is who I am now.
The End. Pretty boring huh. If you read all that, give yourself a cookie.
