They need a staff rank to respond in staff-help, first of all. For helping: Mods would have to go to Translation Team Discord, ask for a translation to English. Come up with a response, ask for a translation from English. And over and over. This way, they can just easily communicate in staff...- Majksa

Also one of the reasons Translator staff is needed, is that they are trustworthy translators. As Marieke pointed out, mods can rely on their translations. It makes communication much faster. Translator staff also help in #staff-help for questions related to the translation team or for questions...- Majksa

It's actually not what they are saying. they are just saying that arguments against only the Translator rank don't make sense because it also applies to the Designer and the Developer rank. Why should the Translator rank (and only the Translator rank) be removed then?- Majksa
