How can they mess up your world? They can literally do anything that you can do. Build, break, throw your spawners into the void, etc. Put the wrong person in your world and within ten minutes you will wish you never met them. Sadly, there are some bad people out there looking to grief people.

Just be careful about letting people that you do not know into your co-op world. They can really mess things up when you are not looking. For my co-op world, after the livestreams I revoke all memberships. Nobody has access when I am not there to keep an eye on things.
