Nobody would choose it. They'll just want OP mode still. It would be redundant.

No, they would get stronger, but not as much as before. With enchantments, the enchanted armor and weapons are practically the same as before. Diamond will still be the best, but not as good. Still good, but not AS good. You'll become more durable, just not invincible.
