The best enchants for spiders specifically is bane of anthropods, I would recommend you make either a smite or sharpness sword because bane of anthropods is only used in spiders and is useless everywhere else.

You need to make it so that they have a bigger space I would also recommend you make them fall so that you don't have to do as much damage to them and make you get drops and exp quicker.

I think it could be one of two things, either you have a laggy island or a lot of materials you are trying to transport on the ice or it could be a glitch. I don't use packed ice personally so I wouldn't know. I would recommend you check with one or two items if they move quickly.

Its not impossible you can make a mob farm for it. It is manually farmed unlike normal spiders which you can suffocate

Umm pigman farms don't give good exp. I would recommend smelting because it is much faster earily game and the farm.

Yep! I currently am making my farms better, but in the eaely game pigs are decent but not amazing so i would recomend at least getting creepers otherwise you make too little money for stuff.

I would recomend both actually because glowstone is the quicker of the two but witches if you got the money buy lvl 1 spawners and make a farm.

You should honestly its grindy but worth it.

But cobbles lefit free it takes 5 mins and you only need like 20 so just farm coco beans and cacti till you get enough. It took me about 5 mins to complete and wasnt hard.
