1v1 tournaments (deathmatch)

I like survival games, skywars and all of those type of games because of the PvP, but what I don't like about those games is the luck that you need in them. Most of the time someone can get killed straight away because the opponent got really lucky and chases you with his iron gear and diamond sword, while you try to get away with your uncooked chicken and leather.
What I would like to see is maybe a new game that is a sort of 1v1 tournament.
16 slots, eight 1v1s to start off with, then the winners have 4 1v1s, then 2, then a final and the last man standing wins.
This should either have one kit (full iron, or full p4 sharp 5 if a donator chooses OP gear), or there could be a number of kits the players can choose, as long as it is balanced and one kit isn't too overpowered.
In my opinion this would be a game where you can just have fun competitively PvPing without the luck aspect making you feel frustrated.

This reminds me a lot of gladiators in Mineplex. Unfortunately we only take in original ideas. :)

I'm replying right after I completely tanked someone in solo skywars. Got like 20 full power crits on him, but because he had 3 gapples in his chests he was able to survive it all, and knock me off with a ton of eggs :/.
Gladiators in mineplex doesn't have the OP option I guess. And by that logic, shouldn't quakecraft, survival games and a whole lot of other games not exist then because they need to be original? I'm a bit confused there, sorry, please answer :P

I guess its kind of like a 1v1 pvp match? because cubecraft already has that and you can make a custom kits for those and they are great fun with friends :D

^Yea, but you only get a little bit of xp and points. If it was a tournament you could get more xp/points as you need more skill to win, and its also more competitive if its a tournament which I think is more fun

We took our own take on survival games, and Quakecraft is an existing minigame that a lot of older Minecraft players play. That's the same with TnT Run and Spleef. Problem is that if we make this a completely new game, people would think we're copying Mineplex, but if we make it into an arcade game then it won't get played as often as we want it to.

I know what you're trying to say but I don't think you get my point. Of course you need skill to win, otherwise I wouldn't have won ~1000 of each of the PvP minigames, but skill can only take you so far, because in reality a noob could simply find better items in a chest and kill you straight away. That is part of the fun, I agree, but it would be nice to have some fair PvP turned into a minigame where you can earn more exp and credits.
But you are right, this probably won't get added. Thanks for the info though.

I do remember one stream @Mac wanted to bring back ''Bridges'' or something like that from The Chunk. It was too simular to SkyWars but with some changes he DID want to bring it back. Not sure what the gameplay was but meh someone can probably explain that for me.

I don't see it like skill :/ what if would have they attacked you? Although it hasn't happened, but it was luck

Ya, also in games like skywars and lucky islands, you could be the best pvper ever, but someone can just camp at their island and throw snowballs at you when you're trying to go across and you'd just lose, and the only other alternative is to spend like 20mins making a bridge whilst making sure they can't bow you off
