Hello CubeCrafters!
Today we would like to inform you about some important changes we will be making to the way we moderate our platforms.
After a long discussion and examination of all our rules, we have decided to make a series of changes that we believe will be beneficial to the future of CubeCraft.
As CubeCraft has been active for many years now, we have taken the decision to remove all punishment history (bans, mutes and warnings) from the Java and Bedrock accounts to date. Punishments issued after August 13 2023 aren't included.
While a small number of punishments will remain active due to their seriousness, the vast majority of accounts will start with a clean history. This applies only to accounts on our Java and Bedrock servers, not to Forums and Discord punishments.
Our public rules have been considerably reduced. This way we will give the community an overview of our basic rules in a simple and easy to read way.
In addition to this, our Team Members will be allowed to apply punishments or let minor offences slide without having to resort to the strictness of a punishment track. Context will always be taken into account when applying punishments.
Internally, we will give players more possibilities to return to play on the server after a while, and we will avoid resorting to permanent punishments (although there will be exceptions in case of abuse of this new system).
The public rules have been moved to the Helpdesk. This will make updating them faster and allow us to add translations to them efficiently.
That's all for now! If you would like to have a look at our new rules, please visit cbecrft.net/rules
