I know factions is not out yet but it would be really cool if it had these features. Being able buy custom type weapons(diamond rapier, faster attack speed but does less damage,cleaver more damage, less attack speed .) The rapier would give you speed while equipped, and the cleaver would give you a slight resistance buff. Doing these for other weapons would be cool too and these name could work for the sub types.
-Hoes
Scythe-higher damage, lower speed, will steal a tiny amount of hp based of damage.
Pike- Extremely low chance to steal opponents offhand item or weapon, lower damage higher speed.(near 1 percent chance)
Axes-
War axe- strong and slow(also gives slowness to user and a small amount of strength like +0.2% dmg when equipped), and a guaranteed chance to break shield if possible.
Hatchet- Weaker but faster, slight chance to inflict weakness on opponent.
Picks
Ice pick- faster and gives small amount of slowness to opponent, deals less damage.(guaranteed chance)
War pick(due to not being able to come up with a more creative name)- deals more damage, is slower and has a tiny chance to break the block under the enemy( We're talking 1-5% here).
Shovels
Spade-(there is a difference, look it up)- higher damage, lower speed chance to stun enemy, somewhere around 5-10% chance.(not being able to move, effect lasts 5-10 seconds depending on which is better in testing)
Trowel- faster speed, lower damage and slightly increased natural knock back.
Give the tools beside the axe double their durability since striking an opponent with the wrong weapon takes 2 durability instead of one.
These weapons will also be able to be enchanted like any other weapon unless deemed to op. I'm not sure how I would price these weapons due to not knowing the specific economy this factions will have. Make sure that the weapons weapons cant completely out dps the stronger versions.
P.S these are not custom enchants, they have drawbacks.If possible make it so that effects only apply if you full charge your attack, or have a greater charge than half.
