A punishment for campers

Games should be fun....right? well i guess you've all played with campers and its not really fun
i understand if you'd like to play definitely but cutting off your bridge and making an obsidian wall is stupid
it just makes the game go on longer and waste everyone's time and in the end if you're agents someone with an egg you wont win
basically my idea is that they need to spend a small amount of time inside an obsidian box before they can play again probably about 5 minuets
(id be a good idea to add on a few more minuets if they keep doing it)
if you think its fun to sit round for 20 minuets then this is the place for you

Exactly. If the team's egg is still intact then it falls under the excuse of protecting their egg. Even if they are camping, it's difficult for us to punish them because of our punishment system. Campers can be a nuisance, but camping is too small of an offense to be punishable.

Ok, so there have been atleast 10 threads made about 'A punishment for campers' and everytime Staff and people gives the same awnsers. ''It's part of a strategy''.
But LITERALLY EVERY TIME in a game of SkyWars in the map Magic, people clim all the way up to the highest point, throw lava and stay there. Is this even called a strategy? NO.
They don't even need the mid, some of them climb to the highest point of their island and camp there! This is the reason I hate playing the map Magic. I only won once on this map, how? I was left with 2 Campers. I didn't attack them so I decided to make my island flat, gathered resources and tryed building a castle. It's good that I can be patient because those 2 people didn't deserve winning that game at all. I must be one of the few people that thinks campers should be a bigger offense to punishment...

I don't think it should be a "bigger offence" it's more of how you define what camping is.
To me, it just sounds like you lost to them and decided to write out your anger here. Hey, that's fine. I'm sure we've all lost to campers once or twice but still, I don't it's that big of a deal. Perhaps a punishment other than kicking but not as big of a deal still.

One of my strategy in team games on eggwars is tricking players into building a bridge to my base where I look like I have nothing and camping on my base while my partner builds out from somewhere they don't notice and get their egg.

In the end it just comes down to what you define as camping.

Staying on your island and bow spamming is not a strategy.

They are working on a punishment for the campers. For now I think the only get a warning for it or if a staff member is in the game of a camper, he can kick him out of the game.

Even in pvp, players just sit 5 minutes long doing nothing, while you can't do anything either..

If you report a camper, they will get a warning for it, I guess. But if there is a staff member in your game and there is someone camping, they can kick him from the game for now. They are thinking about a punishment that fit in the best.

Depends on the game, Camper should and should not be punished.
I Agree when it comes to game such as sky wars when the only objective is too stay alive and "BEAT THE REST" that such things need to be punished, but on game such as egg wars, you do know you can just make a safe bridge .__. it is slow, but you WILL, Get there, and besides, they camp at their base, you get mid's resource .__.

So -0,5 and +0,5 in this one

Even if all 5 of them doesnt know how to 1.9 pvp, that is a guaranteed lose.
Iron armor have around 400durability, and lets just dispose of the fact that they might have axe, 400 : 5 = 80
and in spamming pvp, 80x is like 2 minutes at max,
Lets say you have 5 back up gear, yep, you would only last 10 minutes.
And that is their defense, they WASTE THEIR GOLD For it :v your fault that you didnt cover your egg with obsidian :v

Simple, you combine your ninja training and your skills. It's not impossible. It has been done before. I personally have witnessed it more than once with my friends, she was the only one left without an egg in tea party and managed to defeat others with an egg.
It's about your gaming sense and skills combined. Also if your opponents are dumb or not.

I think the most annoying part of "campers" is when they kill you and win. If there is a camper in your game, the game usually takes more than 15 minutes. Maybe, and I say maybe, there should be a prize for the second and third person alive as well. This means that not only the "fair" winner gets a prize for doing nothing / almost nothing.
