Add custom enchants to FFA? Duels? Assassins?

The title says it all. I have seen servers with custom enchants in all server lists. FFA seems like that kind of gamemode that would work well with custom enchants. Would it be in shops? Would it be in the regular kits? Would players even like this?
I have not played on a server with custom enchants, but I know it is a thing.
What do you think?

I wouldn't mind some purchasable swords with only one durabilty which gives the opponent poison in Assassinations.

If there's anything I could dislike about a server, it's custom enchants. It's far from the usual vanilla experience, meaning you really can't apply vanilla experiences to your decisions of what to do while playing. Custom enchantments are only good in some cases, being games like lucky islands and insane duels (since pvp isn't actually all that important there). Still though, I never like custom enchantments in a game designed where pvp is very important. It strays way too far from vanilla to be feasible.
