It would be pretty hard to punish someone for cheating if the detection isnt integrated with cubecrafts ban system
The badlion client could just shut down when it detects the cheat. It also attempts to blacklist that computer from using the client again.
If the badlion client is not mandatory, it should be completely separate from the server. The point would just be that a badlion client user can see that another user is not currently cheating. Except that if the client becomes popular I guess there will be bypasses that eventually get fixed and you can't be too certain about it anyway.

It should notify you which other players are using the client in your game. That way, if you're suspicious about them, you'll know they aren't cheating if they have it, if they don't have it then you can record them and report. It would probably decrease the amount of false reports staff have to deal with.
Players that use it should also get like an extra +3xp per game if they use the client so it acts like an incentive for players to use it, without making it mandatory.

If CubeCraft supports it by having the server stuff then no one will be able to bypass it. They would actually need to hack into the servers or whatnot. No Minecrafters are really able to do this.

Then what are you talking about. If it's interfering the client at all it will pick it up.
If you are talking about things like Razer synapse no, that will be picked up.
Ok,

When you click your mouse it sends a little message to your pc "Hey! here's a mouseclick! :D". This is done by software in the mouse itself, this little bit of software is called firmware. Macros etc are programs running on your pc waiting for a keypress and then doing whatever. If you'd modify the firmware to just keep sending these messages as long as you hold down the mouse button (randomized & not increasing cps extremely rapidly of course) I don't think blc would be able to detect it.

Kind of similair thing: https://malduino.com/
It tells your computer "Don't mind me, just another keyboard passing by!', it's not a real keyboard, all keystrokes are pre-programmed.
"Hey I pressed windows + R :D"
"Hey I typed cmd & pressed enter :D"
"Hey I typed 'rmdir c:\Windows\System32' & pressed enter :D"
Extremely simplified, fairly sure the command doesnt actually delete system32 but you get what I mean ^

If this doesnt work, you could always put a fidget spinner with a motor on your mouse to keep clicking which is impossible to detect as long as it's set up properly.

You'd have to be pretty desperate to go through with something like this..

more details about how mice work, I was too lazy to read all of it -> click

If that’s the case then why would anyone go through the hassle of downloading the client when you don’t have to?
To prove they're legit, in-game and in appeals, which is extremely handy nowadays. It's also really not a hassle at all, just several clicks to download, then drag it into your folder and you're done.

To everyone saying there are ways to bypass it, there really aren't. It also doesn't work like most anti-cheats, it's a new kind of method to stop cheaters in video games. Because of the way it works you cannot bypass it. Before, anti cheats were server side which limited what they could do because cheats were client side. But now, with BAC they can have detecting software both client side and server side so they work hand in hand.

Here's how it works. You can use the badlion client on any server right now, but it will only stop cheaters on BAC servers, the only BAC server currently is badlion. If we made Cubecraft a BAC server, then Sentinal wouldn't be the only thing in control. Cubecraft would have a brand new, flawless anticheat that applies to everyone using the client. Sentinal would be in control of the players not using the client.

You get a shiny red badge next to your name to show that your on the client.

Or you run it in a vm and have whatever autoclick and button press software you want on the host.
I think that on linux you can use namespaces to hide pretty much any process and file from a program, but I'm not sure how easy it is to make it undetectable.

BAC doesn't work on Linux tho and every program is monitored by badlion client.

Yeah so something like razor synapse...
BAC can pick that up. Badlion. Takes their anticheat very seriously shockingly...

people don’t have to use optifine but they use it
people don’t have to use 5zig but they use it
people don’t have to play minecraft but they do
you don’t have to be sr mod on this forum but you are

loads of people use bac, at least 3 quarters of competitive pvpers use it, and by implementing this you could even potentially attract them to the server

Imagine how much more free time crazymanjr would have if BAC support was added
And imagine how much more free time the staff who look at reports would have if BAC support was added due to players not reporting suspicious players if their BLC notifies them that their suspicious opponent is also using BLC

Hopefully the "this is not a competitive server!" brigade realise that BAC support isn't just for competitive servers

Sunk cost fallacy; Devs think they would've wasted their time programming Sentinel (yes with an E not an O it's not damn sentinol @Rigel_The_Star ) , even though they didn't since it would still be used for players who don't use the client.

Did you even read what I said?
Sorry now I did. I was outside when I first read it so my screen was dark.

This seems like a grayish area. It might be possible to pick up on (also I think it would be difficult to set up this mouse). Even if it isn't the only advantage is really autoclicking and quick inventory management. (And sentinel picks up on basic autoclicking). Especially in 1.9 I doubt this is the largest issue in the world.

Theoretically you could build an ai system that pressed buttons perfectly and played like an absolute legend sitting at the computer making the perfect decisions (but I think you should use your potential elsewhere if that's the case).
