Just got finished with what was roughly a two hour game of Eggwars, an hour of which was me at mid, trying to convince the camper in his base to build to mid. He didn't want to build to mid for the same reason I didn't want to build across to his base: neither of us wanted to get shot off. My idea is that bows be removed, or heavily nerfed. This way campers can be campers, and the aggressive can build over without the risk o f an extremely overpowered cheap shot. The risk to build over needs to be removed.
Not keen on the idea of removing altogether? Here's a few suggestions to nerf.
(1) Remove the punch bow altogether. It's extremely silly having this as an option when everyone is building a 1-wide bridge (or 2, whatever.)
(2) Make arrows expensive. Maybe five (5) diamonds for one (1) arrow. Seems ridiculous but at late game you would still be able to have plenty of them if you wanted.
(3) Instead of getting rid of the bow, swap it for a rod. This would give you the option for a knock-back item without it being overpowered.
If you agree with me please say so below. I feel this would be a good change, and the more support it gets the likelier this will be considered. If you have any other suggestions to nerf I'd like to hear them! Thanks for looking!
