First, find a song. Make sure the song isn't copyrighted, record a gameplay footage then edit the clips where you have a great gameplay footage and combine it with the song. You can edit it so it synced with the song. That'll be a great touch tbh.
Then if you think you're ready, you can get into more advanced stuff if you'd like to. If you don't like it, you can stick with montages.

I mean you can start with montages. Most youtubers does montages and I believe montages would be a great start. You can also learn new things and improve your video editing skill overtime.
