Dear cubers,
I know that the hole punishment system is a sensitive topic around here, but I'm still going to talk about it.

Let me give a little bit of information about who I am and what my reports look like. I'm BanBoy, and I got banned a long time ago and it changed me about how I think of hacks. I appaeld because back in the days, it was a 1year ban. I was sincere and I showed that I would never hack again. I got banned after putting 30 minutes of work in my appael. I never hacked again.

There wasn't anything bad about the appael section back than, at least for players. (I don't know what it was for a moderator and if they got many appaels) but right now, there is something wrong with it.

Before I tell you what's wrong with it, let me tell you what my reports look like. I'll usually spend some time to make all of my reports as good they can, I edit and usually my videos are around 20 seconds max. This is to help the moderators. And I don't mind spending some extra time so that they have to spend less time, but there has to happen something with appaels.

So this is the guy that I'm going to be talking about: He was blatantly hacking, kill aura antikb flight etc.

I got him banned after I spend some time editing the footage I got. This guy than comments on my video, and I want you all to read the comments (They are mostly in Dutch.) He was talking in all caps saying I'm sorry I'll never do it again, so the sweet person i am, gave him a link to the appael section, because I simply never thought he'd be unbanned... He's probably out there hacking on our server again but let's not talk about things we don't know for sure.

I'm mad about the fact that I spend time to ban this guy and he just gets unbanned. Because of the new punishment system, you'll get either a perm ban or a 7 days ban (correct me if I'm wrong). If so he got a 7 day ban, I think the appael section shouldn't be available. And if he got a permanent ban, which means he was banned before, he also shouldn't have had the chance to appael. So what my suggestion is, is to remove the appael section for hacking not for other punishments.

First offense: 10 day ban without chance to appeal.
second offense: perm ban after 3 weeks chance to appeal.

that is the problem with appeals. Appeals can be easily faked. I fon't know which game it was(I think it was GuildCraft 2). That had the best way to check if an appeal was sincere. But cubecraft can't do it that way.

Ikr but if so you could only appael after 3 weeks, I wouldn't mind them getting unbanned! I just not feeling the fact that he got unbanned after 4h

So basically, to summarise your post, you want appeals to be removed for anyone that was banned for hacks?
But didn't you start the thread saying how you previously used hacks and spent 30 minutes writing up an appeal, which you were successful with?
You contradict yourself a little there.
I'm sure you got your appeal because you were genuinely sorry for using hacks and so what about other people? Some people don't realise the implications of doing this and are genuinely sorry for using hacks, some people don't care and do it just for fun or to troll.
Some people may be wrongfully banned and have concrete proof they weren't hacking. And some people deserve a second chance.

Cubecraft knows what they are doing, they ban you for 1year than they have a reason for banning you one year they will not ban you because you did nothing wrong

I think what he means is that when its obvious that a person is hacking deny them from appealing for the first week or days.

Anyone that's get banned is only banned when it's 100% sure they're hacking, mistakes can be made though....

I'm not contradicting myself as I got banned for a year. I don't want it removed. I want it so that players can only appael after a certain amount of time

That's wrong. They have updated the punishment system to fist ban 1 month second ban permanent

1st Appeal = Unlikely chance to get unbanned unless you spend time on your appeal and if you have an extremely forgiving moderator dealing with your appeal.
[Edit] Oh, and it is @YounB who banned him. YounB is pretty forgiving.

3rd Appeal = Appeal denied. Pack up your suitecase and say goodbye.

This is again false. Serkan0070 was able to appael after 4 hours...

I'm going to lock this thread because this should have been done by PM rather than creating a thread about it for the community to see and argue about.

[Edit] Just to clarify, I locked the suggestion because it was mainly targetted towards a certain unban. Arguements were starting to arise due to that unban.

However, I do see that you are a bit angry about the situation.

I have messaged Youn to hear his side of the story, but I'm sure there is a reason why the player was unbanned.

If the player is caught hacking again on the server, then he will be permenantly banned.

As a player would, they got banned and they appealed. Though I am not allowed to send what they put in the appeal, they were rather sincere, and was at a better quality than the couple of appeals that I have received. He was unbanned as soon as possible -- please realise that a player may want to get unbanned, and have realised their mistakes. Four hours is ample time to delete a folder out of your versions. As said above, also, the player will not get unbanned if they are caught hacking again, so it's just a matter of time. :)
