Are you excited for the Minecraft Movie? (Weekly poll 5)

Yeah this one is pretty simple. I want to know cubecraft thoughts on the new Minecraft movie and if you all been keeping up with it or if you been seeing a little of it as possible so you won't get spoiled. I am also curious about how you all feel about Jack Black being Steve and the animation behind the Minecraft movie. Personally I been seeing as little of it as possible so that I won't get spoiled for when the Minecraft movie does come out. I want the experience to be fresh for me but I have heard it not looking too good unfortunately. I do think if it going to be bad then it probably going to be fun bad though.

Overall i have mixed feelings about the minecraft film since first and foremost is the realistic characters in a blocky world as it really makes them out of place sometimes. The designs for the mobs is overall very cute based from the trailer given but theres just some mobs which are just....unsettling to look at. Overall the movie seems promising and i would definitely give it a watch

I’m honestly looking forward to the movie!

It is likely intended to be a hit movie, especially since people have been thinking about a Minecraft movie for years now; the newest trailer released 7 days ago and currently has 16 million views.
Don’t get me wrong, I like animated Minecraft movies, but for a movie this big I feel like we need something creative. I find live action in this case to be a unique take that opens up opportunities and gives a sort of “personal” feel for the viewers

In terms of the actors, I like Jack Black’s personality as Steve and I think he fits that role well
To add to that, I also like how the movie has some humorous elements in it

The team behind the movie is most likely very aware of its potential impact, and I anticipate that this movie will have plenty of fun references for the community to appreciate. Also, a lot of work was put into the set and individual props.
Overall, I believe that the team really knows what they’re doing and that we can expect a good movie

The animation and live-action mix as well as the animation style of the movie do not bother me. However, judging by the trailers, I fear the actors think of it as a more of a joke. It also seems that their target audience with this movie is more for younger kids, which I guess was expected, but I was still hoping they’d gear it more for teens.

I yearn for the mines but yes I am excited for it and it will and is getting clowned on right now but for me it looks good can’t wait to see it!!!
