I thought it might be a good idea to make modes in games the average between votes. For example, if one player voted Overpowered chests in skywars, and another voted Basic, it would be Normal, because it is the average between Overpowered and Basic. Please do the poll above to show what kind of voting selector you would like most!

Well, I don't agree because, for example, normal is the average between op and basic but, there's no way to compare them as equal units.
Besides, if someone votes op and the other one votes basic and chest items are selected normal, no one (Who voted) is happy with the result, because no one voted for what is selected. This would end up ruining the skywars voting experience not allowing anyone to be happy with the in game voting results.
The concept this thread is developing is completely absurd, it makes no sense.

No. Basic chests and overpowered chests are completely different. Normal is different as well. Also it would choose between basic and overpowered. What would happen if they voted for overpowered and normal? That's another thing.

While at first this seems like it makes sense, I don't think it does. With random votes, at least one person is happy, while with average, no one is.

That wasn’t fair.
Imagine that there are 2obsidiana ranks in a game. #1 votes for basic, #2 votes for op.
If it is selected basic -> #1 :), #2 :(
If it is selected normal -> #1 :(, #2 :( —> unfair, nobody’s happy.
If it is selected op -> #1 :(, #2 :)

Though if someone voted basic and another voted overpowered, random between these two would have one person happy with the mode, but the other kind of dissatisfied. If it was Normal items in this case, although both players would not be happy with their vote, it also wouldn't mean one player voted for completely the opposite of the game mode. So, if it was the average between these, neither player would have wanted the opposite of what the game mode is.

Nah, if I vote for OP, and someone votes basic, where should get what one of us wants, otherwise voting is a waste of time. It works well the way it is now.
