Web Avoid Necroposting

• No necroposting on threads that have been inactive for over 2 weeks. Does not apply to news posts, games, or introduction threads.

How about auto-locking certain threads that you aren't allowed to necropost in? This will avoid warnings and staff having to lock theads themselves. I believe this should be possible with XenForo.

I know, hence I quoted the rule about it (it states that it doesn't apply to games, new posts and introduction theads), and it's selectable in that URL I posted.

I’ve seen it before so there must be some way of making it yourself in that case.

Some threads don't need a lock even tho nobody replied for 14 days, but aren't games.
Take for example CCG Memes (If it's even possible for it to be not replied on for 14 days)
Or @Glazh 's Vanity List Thread.
Those threads, even if people don't reply for 14 days once, don't deserve a lock.

I think the auto-lock option could be very convenient for this Forums, since Staff don't have to lock 10 threads after each other, altough I don't really think they find that a problem. So yeah, I agree.

I've got a feeling that quite a few staff members dislike posting "Something something, don't necropost, -locked" as it's a pretty pointless post really. I suggested an auto-locking feature in the past, and most brought up that specific threads would have to be blacklisted on the auto locker (More specifically, every news thread, every forums game, the CCG memes thread and the staff status and history thread).
A warning itself would probably be sufficient too, as that one wouldn't accidentally lock any threads I exampled above.
Anyways, if blacklisting is possible, an auto-locker would be great. If not, a necropost warning would be nice (It should also define necroposting too).

I agree that they're stupid, it should either be gone completely or increase to 4+ weeks.
