Hello, my name is RemiO05 and I noticed something strange.
It is about bans, and I think it is very annoying for innocent players, who are banned.
For those who want to know: Yes, I am talking about false sentinel bans. (AKA seninentanental)
Some players are false banned by sentinel, they appeal and they get unbanned because the staff members believe the innocent player.
But: What if it happens again? You get an unfair ban. And it's not for a week, but for a whole month.
Imagine not being able to play on this server for a whole month. Not very nice.
You have to appeal again, so you appeal.
Your appeal gets denied, due your previous unfair ban. Therefore the staff members can start to believe you less.
So what's my idea?
Restart the punishment track if someone's appeal is accepted because they are unfairly banned.
This means that the next sentinel ban will be for 1 week, and not for 1 month, because I do not think the previous ban should count, as it was unfair.

What do you think about this idea? Vote in the poll!
@skifby thank you :)

If you get falsely banned again you could always just appeal again. No need to wait a week for an unban in the first place, right? I think Sentinel is currently advanced enough to make getting falsely banned twice not a common occurance, so I don't really see the essence of adding it.

If you know your connection issues or things related to that could trigger Sentinel into thinking you're cheating then I recommend just being extra careful. Possibly having a recording software open when playing. Something like Shadowplay would really come in handy, so you have some evidence of how you got falsely banned. This would make the staff more likely to unban you the next time you get falsely banned as well.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Also, footage of the time you got falsely banned is valuable to sentinels developpment and your own unban.
