17-05-2018 - Parkour and Battle Zone.jpg

Hello CubeCrafters,

Today we're bringing you another 2 updates. This week we've released a Battle Zone update introducing features to help improve gameplay, along with an update for Parkour bringing more challenges, experience and achievements.

Battle Zone
Battle Zone has been given so many suggestions for new ideas and features and we've been looking through all of them. This week we will feature some of them.

Official Resourcepack:
With the number of weapons available in the game it's not surprising that many of you requested for an Official Battle Zone resource pack and we're happy to say it's here! @StorySays has been working hard on creating a resource pack which is completely optional and available to download within the Battle Zone lobby. If you're excited for the 2D version of our resource pack, you'd be happy to know that we're working on a 3D version as we type. When released, you'll be able to choose between a Fast or Fancy version of the resource pack, to best fit your computers abilities. :p

The resource pack contains textures for weapons, ammo as well as the wonderful build tool. If you're ever confused which item is which, then this is ideal for you! It's so much easier to find the item you're looking for.

To get hold of the resource pack, head to the armour stand to the left of the game armour stands in the Battle Zone lobby. Click the armour stand and press the green button. Boom! You've got our shiny new resource pack.

Ammo Sharing:
With the recent release of Squad mode, we've spent more time adding features when playing with friends. From the release of Squad mode we heard a lot of requests the ability to share ammo with squad members now you can! Click on one of the four ammo types and options will appear allowing you to select how much ammo you wish to drop.

The Map:
The map is getting bigger and better each week. This week we've added another brand new location and made many other changes across the entire map.

The new location is called "Hillside Haven". It's a small neighbourhood built on a hillside, split into two sections. The cliffs around the area have been re-textured, and around 20-30 chests of both low and high tiers have been spread around the location. Nearly everything within the location is destructible: Lamp posts, cars, the playground, even the fridges!

Contrary to popular belief, this is not a safe haven.

Along with the new location, other areas of the map have been updated. Over ten new chests have been added around the map. The abandoned house from D6 has been moved to H9. Bullet Beach has also gained destructible barrels to help keep your wood resources up. :p

Parkour maps are looking good. Neat concepts. Medals are a great addition too!

Great BZ update. I really like that we can now share ammo. (that'll come in handy)

I especially like the change where we can see peoples health in spectator mode. Maybe have our teammates health bar visible at all times too whether you're dead or alive. That would come in really handy.

Hello! I play on a laptop and the most of the times if I try to load/install a server resource pack, I get disconnected. So my question is, is it possible to get a resource pack downloadlink or like that? Because I even play lucky island with no resource pack.

Greetings, SGLars :p

Oh and btw I crafted a :uber_cubelet: a few days ago and how it opened was really cool!

Hovering over the specific level or joining the level will show your the times you need to beat to obtain each medal. Medals allow you to collect points, each medal tier and parkour difficulty increasing the points given. Medals also contribute to Achievements.

Medal times on joining a level.

We couldn't add challenges to Parkour without adding Achievements. The Parkour achievements are split up into the 4 parkour gamemodes: Easy, Medium, Hard and Competitive. The achievements in the Easy, Medium or Hard gamemodes are to complete certain number of levels within that mode and collect a certain number of Bronze, Silver and Gold medals within the mode. Achievements within Competitive parkour are simply to get to a certain number of wins in Competitive mode.

New maps and levels:
So many of you loved the Parkour levels made by the builders, so we've decided to give you more! We're bringing you 7 new maps and 6 extra levels on current maps. Have fun trying to beat and get your fastest time on our new maps!

The Battle Zone update is great - especially making it so bullets go through water. It was so annoying when people used to just stay underwater with like 1hp and not move.
