Emeralds stand out as very unique compared to other resources in eggwars, rightfully so with their unique ability to buy useful perks and discounts. As the only resource that cannot be infinitely spawned at the base island they remain difficult to get and valuable for all players. However, the current way that emeralds spawn is far from ideal. Emeralds randomly spawn in anywhere at middle, very unique to all other resources that spawn at generators. This poses problems as it can be difficult to secure emeralds especially on some maps with larger and more complicated middle islands. The rng factor shouldn't be so varied for such an important resource. Obviously emeralds are still obtainable through upgrading generators, eliminating players and breaking eggs but the random spawning of emeralds can be very irritating especially at late game.
When emeralds were first released they were on generators, although the generators would only produce when a player was directly near it and it would take a long time to produce just one. Thankfully the staff listened to the community's complaints and changed it, but the current system is still not ideal. I think its a good idea to keep emeralds unique in the way they spawn, so an option is perhaps having perhaps 4 set places in the middle where they could spawn, but it only spawns at one at a time. There are many options similar to this, but the important thing is that there is more of an indicator when emeralds spawn, not just a sound effect, and some way to predict where they could spawn.
