I as well looked at the thread I'm assuming you were talking about. (Adding Ender Chests to EggWars) At first I fully agreed with it, but after reading the comments, not so much anymore. I realised why it was a bad idea. That's why people give their opinions on threads and give arguments to back their opinion up. What happend on that thread is normal.
But if you do feel like you're being harassed, tell staff. Either in a conversation or via Discord. Changing the Ignore feature, by making it so that the ignored person can't see someone's posts, is extreme to say to least. There was a guy who was completely spamming my notifications by liking all my messages. It could've easily gotten me in trouble as well. I ignored him but he continued so I messaged staff. At that point I'd have loved to be able to make sure he wasn't able to see my messages. But most people who get Ignored, didn't really do anything wrong. You don't want to see their messages for whatever reason, but why should it be the other way around? If it's something extreme: they're bullying you, spamming you. Ignore them and message staff. You can't see their messages anyway, what difference would it make if they don't see yours either? They can like, quote and reply to your content but you won't be able to see it. And if you tell staff, they'll get a warning or banned.
But in most cases, it's not actually a big deal. They disagreed with a suggestion, didn't like someone's video. Most people are respectful when giving their opinion about someone's content, and the person on the receiving end is annoyed by it. Leading to an Ignore. Even if they weren't being respectful, disallowing them to view someone's posts is extreme. This is way too much power for a member to have. I strongly disagree.
