Generator is a map for BlockWars, based on Team Fortress 2's Turbine.
IGN: Dan9erTheGamer
General Description
This map is the inside of a large industrial compound. It is clean and straightforward, making it easy to learn, but it's well-balanced layout ensures there are still a wide variety of strategic choices for teams to make, and for individual kits to shine.
Generator Room
Generator Room: The main area that links the Blue and Red bases. It is a large room with three turbines in the middle, with two connecting to one of the team's flag. There is a shipping container on either side. Two staircases with crates under them near the base exits lead up to a balcony spanning the width of the opposite side of the room, leading to the other team's vents. To the side of the base exits is the flag/jail room. The containers and turbines provide good cover for players, even from people standing on the balconies.
Alcove: A small alcove at the foot of each staircase. This is a good spot to pin players for an easy kill.
Balcony: A balcony that spans the width of the room connects each team's vents to the Generator Room. Most of the floor of the room can be seen from the balconies, making them an ideal location for Archers.
Balcony Observation Room: A small windowed, door less room lies at the center of the balcony. It opens on both sides to the rest of the balcony. The room provides some cover from players attacking from the floor of the Generator Room and the opposing balcony.
Crates: Players can hide behind the crates under the staircases to do a sneak attack.
Flag/Jail Room
Flag/Jail Room: The Flag/Jail room is a rectangular room lit with Redstone Lamps. The Flag/Jail is located in the centre of the room.
Entrances: There are two entrances to the Flag/Jail room.
- The main entranceway connecting the Generator Room
- The vent opening at the back of the room
Spawn and Vents
Spawn Area: The spawn room is L-shaped. Players spawn on the team colored wool block, facing down the long end of the room. The spawn contains benches, a storage area, and armor stands with the gear of 4 kits. One end of the hallway leads to a staircase that descends to the Generator Room.
Vent Access: The vent system can be reached at the top of the stairs leading to the Generator Room.
Vents: Small vent tunnels provide passages from the Generator Room to spawn and to the Flag/Jail room through a hole in the back of the room. The Flag/Jail room vent passage has a drop of 5 blocks, disallowing any kit (including the Builder) to jump back up without prior building. This vent entrance also allows players to flank any unprepared enemy defences and easily get the opposing team flag, but this is a huge risk as the vent openings are deep into the enemy base. The Vents are broken into two sections, joining at the Resupply Area entrance.

A few of these are outdated, since I updated the map. It was raining ingame when I took most of these, sorry.
