Hello. I'd like to introduce a new game called Breakout. It's a Zombie survival type of game-mode. It will test the teamwork of players. (Situation) A group of VIP's have crash landed on a quarantine zone. Among the waste of the plane, a traveler seems to be infected by a disease called 'Herodyceps'. The traveler immediately attacks one of the passengers and he too is now infected. They are extremely aggressive. The Rescuers (Government) have to rescue them before they get infected by the disease.

There are 3 teams:

  1. Rescuers
  2. Survivors
  3. Zombies
Rescuers:
- Rescue the Survivors
- 4 players in a team
- Lead the survivors to the rescue zone
- Don't get infected

Survivors:
- Get rescued
- Fight back the horde
- Don't get infected
- Reach the rescue zone
- 12 players in a team

Zombies:
- Infect every survivor
- Don't die in the process
- Do not have to infect the Rescuers.
- 8 in a team

Rules:
  1. You have to obey your role.
  2. You cannot leave the map.
  3. You cannot grief (Not rescuing survivors on purpose)
  4. Cannot ghost
Gameplay: -
(Explained more below)
The chests with the Golden apple floating over them will contain health items,
The chests with a Diamond Sword over them will contain weaponry,
The chests with Steak above them contain Food.
The chests with a Horse armor floating above contain Special items (Explained further below)

Rescuers have radios with them when they spawn. These radios can help contact the survivors, if they too have a radio. These radios help the survivors to access a special chat. They can share their coordinates and such. Only the Rescuers know where the Rescue zone is. The Survivors could try to locate it by themselves, but it is very risky.

Zombies get special abilities if they kill a survivor. Each survivor killed gives five 'Z' points.
If they manage to kill a Rescuer however, (Very unlikely) They get 15 'Z' points.
These give access to a special item shop. It contains Golden apples, stronger weapons, and even survivor trackers.

Survivors need to get to the rescue point. They are constantly hunted by zombies. The survivors get a wooden sword at the start to defend themselves. Later they can get better gear by looting chests. They can talk with other survivors only.

Gear:

Zombies:
Chain helmet
Leather chestplate (Dyed cacti green)
Leather leggings (Dyed cacti green)
Iron boots
Wood sword (Sharpness 1)
No hunger loss
Natural regeneration (No hunger aided regeneration/1.9 regeneration after eating food)
Can respawn after 30 seconds.

Survivors:
Full leather set (Bright blue)
Wooden sword (Half durability)
Hunger loss
Natural and 1.9 Regeneration
Cannot respawn.
Firework (Creeper, blue star) x3


Rescuers:
Full Iron Armor (Protection 2)
Iron sword
No hunger loss
Natural regeneration
Radio
Bow (x16 arrows only)
Map:
I would recommend a map which is mostly flat, but has little hills. The Rescue zone must be a white wool area with a border to indicate its safe area. Inside this the zombies cannot hurt you. The map must be 500x500 in size (can be increased/decreased). There should be quarantine signs and fences on the border of the map. Overall a very "Spooky" and "Isolated" feel.

Rescue zone:
The zombies cannot travel further than 5 blocks away from the rescue zone. If they attempt to, they are shot by snipers (Killed by console) in the helicopter. The rescue zone gives regeneration two to everyone inside it. There are supplies inside the rescue zone if the survivors want to help other survivors.


Flares:
The survivors get Flares (Fireworks) which send a firework to the sky to let the rescuers know of their position.

Chests:
Chests contain useful items.
Food - Steak,Cake,Baked Potato,Carrots.
Weapons - Stone Axe,Stone Sword,Bow and arrows.
Special items - Radio,Golden Apples,Enderpearls.
Chests are like supply drops - They spawn every 30 seconds on a random place in the map.


Spawns:
The spawns for Survivors:
They spawn around a crash site. This can be a plane crash, car crash etc.
Spawns for Rescuers:
They spawn on the Rescue zone. There will be a method of transport leading out
(helicopter,boat)
Spawns for Zombies:
They spawn around a very mossy area like a cave or a abandoned looking area.
All the Spawns are random every game. It could be on the center of the map, or could be on the corner of the map. Only the Rescuers know the place of the Rescue Zone, since the coordinates for it is always on the screen, on top of the sidebar. (In EggWars, you can see the side bar with the remaining teams? It is where the current coordinates and for Rescuers, the Rescue Zone coordinates. Zombies can only see their Spawn coordinate. Even though they are random, there would be a least distance about 100-150 blocks away for each team.

Kits:
Marathon Runner: Speed 2 for the first 3 minutes
Bling Bling: Golden apple x1
Army veteran: Stone Sword
Smuggler: get a item which spawns a chest/gives you 5 'Z' Points

Chat:
Survivors can talk with Survivors, If they have a radio they can chat with Rescuers.
Rescuers can talk with Rescuers, and can talk with Survivors if they have a radio.
Zombies can only chat with other Zombies.

I like this idea! But the rules "you cannot leave the map" how would you stop anyone from leaving? :3
Heh, it isn't like they can't win it. They win after every player left has reached the safe zone. What I meant to say that if some parts of the maps are left open (i.e open gate, broken fence) there will be barrier blocks.

looks like it would be a good game mode nomad suggestion, nice one i like it. Hopefully they would add a game mode similar to that. :)

This is a very detailed and well written idea! One little question - Can there be different maps? Like can the CC build team create multiple different maps or should there be one specific map that we play on? :)

My main problem with this kind of suggestion is the map
Are the chests randomly generated (not like in SG where they are all there before hand) thus chests aren't in the exact same place also same goes for the survivors are they going to spawn in a group? Alone? In pairs? Will they spawn in a random area
The rescuers same question even the zombies what are the spawn patterns

How many chests would there be and where? How many zombies per team are there?

Also, I think it's a little bit unbalanced currently. If all teams just spawn in 1 spot somewhere in the map, the game would just be about who reached the other's first. What would you suggest to prevent this?

Updated. The spawns would be random each game.

how many chests would it contain, and what would be in the chests?
