I think people that like Creative and UHC would disagree.
We have a fine balance of making sure we're progressing through what we want to get released along with adding in suggestions were possible.

I rarely ignore a thread I am tagged in however I don't always reply due to the amount of time I have available. I apologise for this but I am hoping to carve some time out in my day where I can reply to threads etc :)

I have a thread of my own that I want to get posted but it just keeps getting longer and longer. I'd like to cover a lot of the questions and suggestions that we get on the forums. I'd love to have a monthly/weekly video that goes out that responds to as many of the suggestions we get out and also helps highlight the fantastic ideas that are shared in the community.

It's easy to look at suggestions and read them as people being "salty" or "toxic" but I know how much CubeCraft means to you all and that you all just want the best for your likes.

As always, thanks for your suggestion, I hope this gives you some insight in to why I don't always reply. Apologies for not really being on-topic!
Do it on your YT channel

Imagine the server without any builds, minimal staff members, no payment support, messed up donations, no suggestions being handled, reports all over the place and more than 5 less games.
Then you will understand what they do .
Doesnt seem too different from right now does it?

So you are saying the front pages full of endless new maps, new games, a new dedicated Support staff member, a functional store, balance updates based on players opinions and reports being handled quicker than ever is not evidence of this? Okay then.

Eventually, this thread will probably die and nothing will be changed based on the 35+ people who liked this thread and wanted something out of it.

I've made a lot of suggestion threads over the years, and I think only one other has ever received 40+ likes. I'm not letting it die without some response first.

Also, sometimes I feel as if the staff manager does not take opinions against him seriously.
It would show an example of the staff manager not taking a complaint from a member seriously as he should do and instead telling his staff team that they should rant at the player for being "toxic". A fellow member was annoyed and commonly in the staff team, he is considered as "toxic". This is not professional at all and is not the behaviour an administrator should be demonstrating. By acting this way, he is basically showing the example of how staff members should act. There are many more examples, I can think of which occurred in staff chat however I don't have the screenshots of them. You may however PM me for those examples and I can give you the search info. I also have public evidence.
Can confirm, stuff like this drove me up the walls with frustration. It just never felt very professional. You'd address something that's concerning you, only to be condescendingly mocked at worst and ignored at best. Or, you'll be told what you want to hear, only for nothing to change as a result of it :/

Worst thing is, the member who I am talking about doesn't even know that they are being mocked/ridiculed/ignored...

It's in staff chat, not public. That's why members don't know they get 'ignored' and staff members just take it as a laugh.

Please search up "in:#community-staff from:tacosbefriends dutch squad" in the search area of Slack. To build on this, I spoke to an Ex-Mod. They said that they were demoted and banned because they released recording from staff chat showing how 'toxic' the staff team was. They spoke about how admins were showing favoritism to other mods and that since Mac left the new staff manager had been hiring staff that were unqualified. I can't say if any of this is true, but what you said kinda makes me believe this is true.

Hello curious CubeCrafters!

I am only going to reply to the initial post even though I see quite a few comments that are said like fact when they have no idea what they’re talking about. Ex-staff members or friends of current staff members who tend to fuel the ever-growing list of semi-facts and misinterpreted information. I’m going to be as transparent as I can be.

@Sophie has some amazing threads, thorough and detailed to hell. She was also an amazing staff member and extremely dedicated, she has submitted so many suggestions and the demand couldn’t be met with our tiny development team at the time when we were averaging an update every 1-2 months which of course is just as frustrating for everyone, not just you. Now we are averaging updates every 1-2 weeks. Although you didn’t see how old admin team functioned internally, I did.

I used to be the staff manager
A lot of our current community may only know me as that gingerbread guy who makes maps. I became the staff manager/build team leader for 2 years purely through volunteering. (I still manage the build team now). I treated it like a full time job, trying to manage over 30 volunteers and making sure everyone was motivated and content.

Majority of our staff I’ve met through CubeCraft has been through the internet, from my old tiny bedroom with the ever so popular Skype issues. (Thank god we have better ways to communicate now). When talking to people over the internet, it’s easy and simple. We become friends with people from thousands of miles away, I became friends with a lot of the ex-admins I knew what their work ethic was like better than anyone.

The old Admin team wasn’t perfect
The admins you mentioned are amazing people not just as staff members as genuine people, but of course people grow up and have university, college or just lose interest which is why a lot of them have left. Quite a lot of the ‘old’ staff team wasn’t perfect.

All these changes you saw all had their consequences. These are just a few examples:
  • Skyblock, new games, drop parties, mob spawners which later resulted in a broken economy, lag and eventually it shut down.
  • PvP, new parkour, so many command blocks used to make events, resulted in severe lag.
  • Parkour, an ex-admin pasted in a survival games schematic because he was “curious” and crashed the server. We let two admins be in charge of a parkour team of four parkour builders. After several months, the admins did nothing and the parkour build server was shut down.
Some Admins were great, some needed a lot of micro management and direction, some were basically ‘glorified’ moderators who liked the red tag.

Your actions as an individual should speak for what you want to achieve not your title.

Admins today have serious responsibilities
Every Admin has a job, as a team we want to achieve one goal to make the best network we can. Expectations exceed higher and higher every day as does the thirst for more content, our team has expanded and become more experienced and will always try to meet those requirements. An idea is much easier than implementation.

Map changes as a whole
Please just tag me in these little easter egg suggestions, only the build team can make these changes as staff members can’t edit maps, due to how our internal systems have changed. So getting OP which nobody has anyway in the team including me, wouldn’t make a difference. As soon as the map restarts the changes are wiped. I don’t like to put too much time into tiny easter eggs for PvP as I like to spend time making maps for popular games which see thousands of unique players daily than maybe a small % of that in FFA for example, so it’s low priority for me personally. I will try encourage the build team to add more into future map updates.

Competitions can be great
There is quite a large demand for it, so why not!? I only manage the build team now and help work on certain projects but after reading this in another thread, maybe this is a hint!
A compromise for not being able to become an admin anymore is the Sr. Mod rank, which I'm currently working on improving and making better for our dedicated long-time staffers.
I can’t comment on your queries about senior moderator as it hasn’t been my area for over a year. If you have anymore questions regarding Admins Sophie I’d be more than happy to discuss it over Discord or inbox, since I’ve answered your initial questions I am going to lock this :p

New predictions based on the news we got this week:
- New Snowman Survival maps are most likely releasing sometime next week
- OG EggWars update is releasing in a couple of weeks according to Cam through Discord (screenshot below).
A couple of weeks is usually 2 weeks but sometimes can be 3 weeks.
