There seems to be a lot of discussion recently regarding FFA events, so I figured I would add my own input. This thread is regarding the "Reach 50 Points" event.
In FFA, it is nearly impossible to actually reach 50 points in the five minutes allotted. I think that a better way to implement this event idea would be to use a tiered system. The event could be called "Point Race", or something similar. The main objective of this would be to get the most points in the time given. However, all players who surpass a certain threshold of points would be given a reward.
For example, any player who gets 5 points in the time given would be given 20 xp, players who reach 10 points would be given 30 xp, 15 points would get 40 xp, and so on. The player (or top 3 players) with the most points at the end of the event would be given the biggest reward (100 xp, or whatever the reward may be).
This way, all players have a better chance of actually earning something from the event, no matter how big or small the reward may be. It would encourage more people to actually engage in pvp fights rather than just standing around, too.
Please comment your thoughts on this, and if you have any further suggestions please leave them below!
