Hello CubeCrafters,

The Chat Overhaul is finally here! We've spent ages going to lots of our old messages, and giving our chat some love.

Server messages
We've spiced up lots of the messages that we have had for a while. We've also added converted our chat to contain a lot more words that when clicked on open webpages, so you don't have to keep looking at URLs in chat. For example, here is our new join message, so much cleaner! :eek:

Player messages
When you send a message in chat, you can now hover over other peoples usernames and it will display some information about them, for example their level.

Team chat and Global chat have also been reworked to be much nicer to use. You name is now coloured to match your team colour, and also, as with the tab list and above players names, your players names that are bold, are in the same team as you. This means you can determine friends in Global chat much easier!

Chat filter
Many of you will be glad to know that the chat filter has been added to many more chats. Every message that you send now will be sent through our chat filter, keeping our chat much cleaner and more positive.
Thanks to @andyschofie for keeping on top of all our blocked words over the past few months!

Commands
So, in the parties release, we gifted you with the ability to use tab complete, to help complete usernames, and subcommands. But we weren't satisfied. :oops: So, we present a better tab complete solution! Our friends and party system now function of a much more sophisticated tab complete system... pressing tab will now analyse your location in your command and best figure out the next word. For example /fmsg (A command to message a friend) previously just tab completed to and username, however it will now only tab completes to your list of friends. This means you need to type even less letters for

to work.

Commands now have a nicer looking help menu. This include the /help menu as well. You can also click on a command in chat, and it'll either prepare the command or execute the command.

If you want to use language that would violate Cubecraft's rules, you can always use a third party chat system like Discord, Skype, etc. The only things that are filtered are swear words, racial slurs, and so on. Life will go on without swear words.Yes, the filter is picking up some things it shouldn't; it's being tweaked and fixed though.


It's your level, not your IP address. It's really not going to hurt you to let others see your level.

Swearing? No , I just want to be able to use actual, proper words without constantky being censored. Noob , Ez , kys , etc should not be cencored in party chat as they are uaed jokingly. Its party chat thise words wont hurt anyone on there As for level, were going to get judged. Im level 26 , a pretty low level. Not that I myself am going to swear

I'm really sorry but I don't like the update to be honest, I liked how it was and the old chat is more Cubecraft than this.
I made a thread about it but I guess that the chat will be like this for a while now.

The only thing I do not like about this update is that the party chat now has the same color of the letters as the normal chat and this confuses. For the rest, it's a matter of getting used.

It's a cool update, however there are a few things that I really dislike about it: The party chat color, It's not hard to read the party chat. Everytime someone sends a message I keep thinking that someone is talking in normal chat so I ignore it. The friend joining message is hard to see. the "Please slow down your chat" message is so annoying. And when you hover over a name it shows their level, why is that so bad?
