CTF Block Wars Rant

I was playing block wars CTF today and the ridiculous thing happened.

Literally, all my teammates kept blocking the core so we couldn't capture the flag and then on top of that you could spam him kill someone in 1.9 faster than critting them. Iron swords do WAY TO MUCH damage and then when someone goes invisible AND takes the flag making it really hard to kill them all the kb spammers knock you off and ruin the game.

So here are some suggestions:

A) Balance the kits, I don't know how but the way it is completely stupid. I'm not going to sugarcoat this because it's honest. It's completely unbalanced and really dumb.

B) Add OP Mode, just like in egg wars there should be sharp II swords and Prot IV armor.

C) Add food, tbh I think if everyone received steak and maybe a golden apple it would help the game. (Steak for normal, and steak and 2 golden apples for OP

D) Have a warning in CTF that there must be a hole for the flag to be placed for the team to score a point

OR

E) Have a designated spot where blocks can be placed so players can get the flags in.

The hole for the flag to be placed depends on the strategy of the player. It shouldn't be forced. Having a hole for the flag isnnot very favorable always.

I don't know if you realize YOU NEED A HOLE.
You cant capture a flag without getting in one. And people make that impossible. EVERY GAME I PLAY. No joke. EVERY GAME. This happens.

@Qin Shihuangdi Please explain why you voted no.

Do you want to know why you can get spam hit into oblivion?

A. Because kits are horrible
B. Because spam clicking does more damage in 1.9.2, which suprisingly enough, the server runs on. Of all the modern MC versions, they had to use 1.9.2, the worst of them all

I could agree with A, but I can't agree with the rest. For B, op mode would be kind of stupid thanks to runner kit and ninja kit. For C, food would kind of ruin blockwars. For D, it's a strategy and shouldn't be forced as a rule. At last, for E, makes bomber kind of useless and most players love bomber. Also, it kind of ruins the point of defense when the enemy can just run straight in. This is just my opinion.

You NEED a hole to capture a flag. You cant capture without getting to your own flag.

I think the current kits are fine now. No need to change them.

No thank you. That would ruin the game. No need to add an overpowered mode, because I think the kits are fine. (1 question: Do you wanna cha
nge the kits in the op mode, or do you wanna add a shop?)

That would mean we have to add hunger to the game, and that would mean that I would quit the game. You can quickly respawn in this game, and you can't buy anything from the shop while playing a game, so I don't think adding golden apples would be a good idea.

Like Mecha said, it's a tactic, and you're not forced to use it. It's not bannable to not to make a hole in BlockWars.

Please, give me 10 minutes to explain. You seem to be very impatient.

There's no need to place another comment in full caps 30 minutes after you asked someone why they voted no. Be patient, it's not like CubeCraft should rule someone's life.

Change the kits yes and no Shop. The kits are not fine. I got 3 shotted spam hit by someone I couldn't even see. That's not really balanced. Plus I was in a game where some guy got like 50 kills no joke.

Well tbh, look at it. It's completely unbalanced. The game seems like it was 1.8 based on how 1.9 goes on it. Now were finding out it might be worse. We don't need a shop you instantly get a stack of steak and your good. Same with golden apples.

It'd be great if you actually brought up reasons other than subjective statements. I don't see any balancing issues with the kits.

Wouldn't really add anything to blockwars in my opinion. It's still going to be the same game with the same playing style with the same combat, so no thanks.

One of the things I like about blockwars is that you can't just regenerate constantly. Regenerating takes a while, meaning a single fight can't last too long. It's a "no" to this.

You don't need a hole throughout the entire game. You only need one during the short time where you're about to capture an enemy flag. Having a completely covered flag isn't a bad thing, so I wouldn't add a feature that discourages completely covering the flag. It's a good idea, and you can easily break into your own flag to cap like anyone else would.

It COULD work. I mean I love op egg wars and it seems like the community does. And they did it for survival games. Egg Wars + Survival Games = Pretty Much BlockWars.

Then it's hard not to die with spam hitters.

Kits are alredy balanced.
Op mode doesn't fit with the game.
I don't get whats the point of adding food, for heal faster? No thank you.
For D and E just gonna say that you can just do a hole or get a teammate for do it.

I would suggest you read the ENTIRE thread again. I'm quite shocked everyone thinks its SO EASY to break into the core. I better start recording all my games because I'm not joking when I say we either lose to tryhard spammers or the blockers. I have never won a game on CTF for these reasons.

Seems like you completely dismissed what Remi said without a reason. Maybe you should read his comment and reply to the content.

Most people would think "Better block it back up instead of having our flag stolen". What's wrong with that?
If they block it back up, you can just break it again. If you die, that's on you.

Ok, first of all, there's no need to write in captital letters ok? It's annoying.
Second, of course you need a hole to capture the flag, but you can make it when you already have the flag. I just personally think it's better to not make a hole. You can make a hole while you are carrying the flag, and then capture. As you already captured, you have an advantage against the other team and the hole doesn't matter that much.
But as I said before, it depend's on the player strategy, so it wouldn't be accurate if we force the player to follow certain rules. What I like about block wars is, that it's a game where imagination and creativity is important, you'd be ruining this aspect by making things like this.
And please, if you respond, do it as a normal person not LIKE THIS.

How is it a stalemate?
Sure, it can be difficult to cap from time to time, but it really isn't impossible like you're making it out to be. Especially if you ask your team for assistance & assist them too.

Focusing on this. If you don't have a hole it means neither side can score a point.
