Discord Bot

Heyy!

I was thinking about how we could improve the Discord. After doing some research I couldn't find any thread with the focus on a Discord discussion.
Of course, like many players, we can agree it'd be very nice to have ranks on Discord as well have them on the forums as well.

I was thinking of someone (a smart person) making a custom "CCG Bot" what will have the following things:
Anti swearing - as profanity is disallowed it'd make it a lot easier on Moderators having to do a little less.
Anti-advertising - fairly straight forwards. This will block any advertisement of servers except discord.gg/cubecraft (would be weird if that got blocked too)
Anti Youtube - will make you only be able to send youtube links in #media, in other channels the link will be removed regarding the content.
Linking account! - you can do a lot with-in Discord. What I think could really work out nice if there we're Discord donator ranks made (shown in the screenshots as references) and making like for the forums a way to link your account.
What this also will do is give you a nickname what players aren't able to change. The nickname will be the one at that moment in-game.

There's probably a lot more cool things possible. Let the community know your ideas in the comments!

Good idea. I bet Cube must have enough intelligent coders that can make a bot like this + it would reduce the constant moderating that has to be done to keep the Discord as child friendly as possible, so they can focus more on other stuff, though we have to be careful that the bot doesn't take over the world and destroy humanity.

That is the only thing that it could get messy. I guess we have to deal with that if it'd ever be implemented

I agree with your suggestion, but I don't agree with the ranks. Simple as that. I don't think colourful discord ranks would ever get implemented, because everything would look messy. And why should we deal with something messy/annoying?
