I was surprised to find that the only aspect to the shop that was updated, was that the interface no longer closes when you purchase something (thank you for this btw!) Here are a few additions to be considered, that I think would spice up the game a little bit:
Speed sphere (150)
There are a number of potion effects in FFA, however they're exclusively reserved for the Samurai kit (Speed II) and Wizard kit (Strength I, Poison XX, Speed II, Regeneration I). Why not add the most useful effect to the shop? I mean, people are only going to have their Wizard friends give them it for free otherwise.
The Speed sphere will be an addition to the misc shop, in the shape of a Slime ball or Eye of ender. This item will give the player the Speed II effect for as long as it's held. This means it can be used to get around the map and to retreat from fights, but cannot be used during fights. The item will cost 150 points and will mean you don't have to select the Samurai kit to have a life-long Speed II effect.
It's a little bit cheaper than the full Protection III armour set, which is usually what shoppers buy when choosing the Samurai kit. This means that overall, it will still be less effective than selecting Samurai and buying armour, but will also be a little bit cheaper.
Spectral arrows (2 points each)
Is there somebody you really despise, but you're not good enough to kill them on your own? Why not buy a Spectral arrow and hit them with it, highlighting them for everybody on the map for a brief period of time?
Fire resistance potion (20 points each)
These are so cheap because there very few maps that feature lava, and even on those maps the lava is typically not a point of interest. This exists primarily to be able to survive the volcano Easter egg in 'Classic'.
Goliath armour set (300 each)
Currently, the best armour set in FFA is a set of Protection III diamond armour in the armour shop. Each piece costs 50 points. I propose adding the following items to the armour shop, each piece costing 300 points:
Goliath helmet (Protection IV diamond helmet)
Goliath chestplate (Protection IV diamond chestplate)
Goliath platelegs (Protection IV diamond platelegs)
Goliath boots (Protection IV diamond boots)
Keep in mind this armour set will make the wearer an absolute tank to be reckoned with, however will cost 1,200 points for the entire set. You're certain to get a lot of kills with it, but will never profit from buying it.
Titan armour set (150 each)
The Wizard kit's low-durability armour inspired me to suggest an ever better armour set than the Goliath gear, each piece costing 150 points:
Titan helmet (Protection V diamond helmet, 80 durability)
Titan chestplate (Protection V diamond chestplate, 80 durability)
Titan platelegs (Protection V diamond platelegs, 80 durability)
Titan boots (Protection V diamond boots, 80 durability)
This is the kind of armour set you buy to show up that player who either won't leave you alone, or keeps challenging you to a 1v1. It will cost 600 points for the set and will render you near invincible, but it's only good for one or two fights.
Goliath and Titan swords (350 and 200 each respectively)
Why not add better swords for inflated prices too? These swords will be the best swords in the game, however one is extremely expensive and the other has little durability.
Goliath sword (Sharpness IV diamond sword, 350 points)
Titan sword (Sharpness V diamond sword, 200 points; 80 durability)
Once again, the Goliath item comes with a heavy price, and the Titan item is only good for one or two fights.
