I heard that the story is this: this is 30 years after the first game, since the 2nd was a prequel. A company made a horror attraction/amusement park based off of Freddy Fazbear's pizza. Because the original animatronics were dangerous and not to mention rotting and rusted, they didn't use any of the actual animatronics. But one day, one animatronic mysteriously appeared in the park, followed by he rest of them.


This might not be accurate, but this was off of fnaf wiki so this may well be real rather than just assumption.
