Following has no point

Hello Cubecrafters!

Okay we all know it's fun to have followers...
But it has no point.
Sooooooooooooooooooo i was thinking about some feature's we could add to make
following someone usefull!
Here are they:

1. When its someone's birthday you get an alert
2. When someone changes he's/she's name you get an alert
3. When someone earns the max points on the forums you get an alert saying "Forumsname just earned the max points"
4. When someone change's he's/she's profilepicture you get an alert
5. When someone is following you for 2 year you get an alert


So what do you think of this suggestion?
If you know any new idea's they should add, leave a comment!

It might be annoying to some people, so will there be like a choice to switch it off?
( Especially for those who follow a lot of people )

They should also make it so that, whenever someone you follow makes a new thread, or posts a new status, you receive an alert; (this would be toggled). I made a thread awhile ago about it.

Meh, I don't think it would cause a lot of problems but it can cause spam if you're following a lot of people.
What @RayzMC said is better. I don't really think that you want a lot of alerts when you're following 100 people.

Followers don't have to mean really something for me, it's just funny nothing more, and for me it won't have to be more.

As long as there is an option to turn it off, I agree! ;)

Even so, there are still people who follow more then 90 people.

I would love this just for the birthday alerts but if my followers got an alert when I changed my name/profile picture I couldn't mess with people for a day like I did with ♡♡♡♡ :(

I like this but you can check if someone changed their name, profile picture or location on the recent activity section of the forums. Other than that I think it's a cool idea. :)

Yes, I agree with all except "someone follow you for 2 years" is a lot of time i think 1 year is better in my opinion
