Forum profile suggestions (pin)

Hello there fellow cubecraftians!
As some of you may know, I have recently been making suggestions for the forums, I guess good ideas comes to me when I'm really tired.. so here is my suggestion.

It was @Dai_Matsumoto post

that made me realize just how much majority of staff are getting spammed with players wanting them to unmute/unban them and it can be a hassle to tell them that staff profiles are not the place to go to if they want them settled.

So what I'm suggesting is that everyone is able to pin only one status on their profile, it won't get buried in your profile as it would stay on top as the first thing under "Update your status..." It could also be in a small pop up box in the left/right corner that scrolls up/down when you do, that way it wouldn't be hard to miss."
That way if you have something important for everyone to see, it won't disappear under the sea of comments and status updates, hope you like this suggestion. :)

Would really appreciate some feedback or criticism, I welcome them all.

I agree, if dai could pin that status on his profile, I guess some players may stop posting there, would be better if all pinned status will automatically be in red text to show them the importance in it. Once unpinned, would go back to its original state.
I'm not sure if it's possible to do so though. But I do honestly think it would help out some staff members and as for players, it would be fun for them to pin what they like, even if it's just one.

This is actually a great idea. I hope this would be added for the new website. Because, when I come on the forums, (Almost every 10 minutes.) I see atleast 1 guy that has spammed a staff his profile page. They getting spammed way to much.

Thanks ! Really hope it would be considered at some point. I don't really get much feedback on my suggestions so I'm not sure if I should post it when the server gets active (midnight for me) as not much goes on during day time .

The suggestion sounds alright, however I feel like it's quite unnecessary. Currently whenever you post a new status it already pins on the top of your profile for everyone to see, unless you changed some privacy settings, but it's not that difficult to miss and maybe they could add some options to it so you can make it easier to see. (This is what I mean:

Even if they added this suggestion, people would still ask for unmutes/unbans on people their profiles, as they will try many things to get unbanned.

Maybe they could add an automatic warning when someone tries to post something on the profile of a staff member saying that it isn't the place to ask for unbans/unmutes, would probably be more effective than having a pinned post on your profile saying that it isn't the place to ask for unbans/unmutes.

People won't stop spamming staff their profile's with your idea. I agree with @iLoveYouu, it's unnecassery. Believe me, people will ignore those kind of messages.

Yes that exactly, thank you for explaining it better than I could :oops:.This also involves their pin post not getting pulled down when someone comments on their profile as it would stay on top of all statuses.

I don't think it's unnecessary since there are many choices you can use with the pin post, more of how you choose to use it.

I understand a warning pop-up of that sort would be more effective, I've thought of that as well but that may be annoying for those who aren't asking for unmutes/unbans to always have to view that message.
I think a pinned status in red text would be far easier for them. It may not stop the spamming completely but perhaps it could reduce it so they have more time to check what they really have to in their alerts without all those spams. They also pin something like "Asking for unmutes/unbans on staff profile is not allowed, head to https://appeals.cubecraft.net/" which allows those players who enter staff profile to easily access the websites since I notice some of them tend to go to staff profile first before navigating through the forums to the right category.

They do not necessarily have to pin post like that, perhaps pinning something they want feedback on but wanting to update something else as well, that way they can still keep it pinned as priority while wanting others to view more threads for feedback.

As for players, maybe they want someone to view their newest video, recruit someone for something, I'm sure some players would enjoy having this feature as well.
