Free Recording Software

Like me (and maybe other people) HATES hackers.
This will be a thread where anyone can post FREE recording software and instructions / a YT video on how to set up, record and etc :)

I don't that there are many good FREE recording software. If you really want a good recording software you are gonna have to buy it.

Bandicam is free but it sorta sucks. Also you look like a giant noobscrub if your videos have that stupid watermark on all your videos. There's a free version of Fraps that lets you take 30-second videos, so that's somewhat inconvenient. I bought FRAPS and I'm very very pleased with it. As far as audio software, I recommend Audacity because it's amazingly simple to use, full of features, and it's free.

Heard of it and made a podcast on it (stoopid school :/)
But recording the screen is what I need to know, I want to catch dem hackerz :/:/:/ I saw EzVid that my friend used... I just don't like the ADVERTISEMENT AT THE BEGINNING :/:/

I'm sorry, I thought we were supposed to suggest free recording software which can be used to record hackers, not recording software which costs money which can be used to start a youtube career. My bad.

I was simply stating that Fraps and Bandicam both have their downsides. If you want a good, free video recording software, you're either gonna have to pirate it or find a genie and waste a wish.

I use dxtory. It doesn't lag, it's fast and simple, bad part is you have to change the video. It you must change the video file to Windows Media Player.

Might lag your CPU a bit, but it's better than

Screencast-O-Matic.

Also, I heard Fraps doesn't compress videos, so if you're taking videos, you need some sort of compressing software or else the files are huge.

That's true. That's a big thing Bandicam has over Fraps. I still prefer fraps though because it's a more professional brand of software.
