So many bumps. I'm starting a conversation with the owner linking to this thread bc I'm dying to see the decision and no more bumps.
Thanks for your support. Also, starting a conversation with the owner himself would be a really bad idea considering how much spam he gets -- people would spam staff's profile messages and conversations for even the tiniest thing -- so your conversation is likely to be ignored.

Here's another bump btw.

A Little Village Somewhere inPortugal
This is a game that I had suggested a few months ago. I forgot to bump the thread and went over the 2-weeks-or-necropost limit, so here's the suggestion again. The game is currently only a concept, so I don't know if it'll work in the real game. If this game ever gets accepted, please remember to make balance changes occasionally. Thanks.

General Information
  • "Deception" is a game heavily based on trust and communication.
  • Player limit may vary depending on the map, but a minimum should be around 16 players.
  • Each game has two major factions, along with Neutral classes that are automatically excluded from these factions. No one can choose what faction to join, everything is completely random.
  • The maximum amount of Neutral players in a game is equal to a quarter of the maximum player limit in that map. (Example: If the map allows max 20 players, there can only be max 5 Neutral players)
  • At the start of the game, everyone is spawned at random locations in the map. You will be given chain armor and a stone sword. If a non-Neutral class is picked, after 10 seconds, one random ally's username will be displayed to you in chat.
  • A grace period of 15 seconds will start once everyone have spawned in the map. During this period, classes with harming abilities (Executioner, Storm Wizard, Sniper) can still deal damage using their ability.
  • Using the cryptic information you have, you must determine who is on your side and who you should kill. Most kits will be able to influence and manipulate information, so you can either mislead your opponents with false information, or provide you and your team with extra information.
  • Potion effect bubbles are hidden at all times.

Game Objective
  • For non-Neutral players, the objective is to eliminate the entire opponent faction, including any Neutral players.
  • For Neutral players, the objective is to eliminate everyone else and be the last player standing.
  • Only a few classes have the ability to revive themselves or resurrect others. In most cases, you may not respawn once you're dead.

Classes
The classes are divided in 3 main categories: Passive Class, which gives the player a physical advantage over other classes; Informative Class, which gives the player extra information about the team members; and Deceptive Class, which allows the player to deceive enemies by providing false information. Neutral Classes may be categorized into any of the 3 aforementioned categories. All classes have chain armor and a stone sword, so you can't tell the classes apart with their equipments, adding more mystery into the game.
Warrior
You have permanent Strength II effect.

Guardian
You have permanent Resistance II effect.

Medic
You have permanent Regeneration II effect, plus you can right click on any player to give them Regeneration I for 10 seconds. Right clicking the same player resets the timer. Right clicking another player will transfer the effect to the new target. Right clicking a block cancels the given effect. Medic effects does not stack.

Avenger (150 points)
Whenever a teammate dies anywhere in the map, your next hit will be an instant kill. You'll not be informed with the fallen teammate's name. If you kill a teammate, even if it was a normal kill, you'll lose this effect permanently.

Escapist (175 points)
Right click to become invincible for 6 seconds. You'll also get Speed II and Weakness IV. This effect can only be used 3 times per game.
BALANCE NOTE: While invincible, your sword deals as much damage as a normal punch, so you can only use the invincibility to flee.

Cannibal (225 points)
When you kill someone, regardless of their team, you'll receive Strength II and Speed I for 4 seconds.

Executioner (300 points)
Right click a block to set your invisible trap on top of it. When a player walks over the trap, you can choose to execute them. You have only 7 seconds to execute the player. When the timer runs out, the player can no longer be executed until they walk over the trap again. You won't know the player's username, and the trapped player will not be notified of the trap activation. If you execute a teammate, you'll permanently lose the ability to execute players.

Translocationist (300 points)
Shift + right click a block to set your invisible teleporter on top of it. Right click at any time to teleport to the teleporter. You must wait 15 seconds before you can teleport again.

Retributionist (375 points)
Right click a corpse to resurrect the player. This can be done twice per game.
BALANCE NOTE: When a player dies, you must have certain informative roles to collect information about the dead player.

Survivalist (unlocks at 10 wins + 325 points)
When killed for the first time, you can choose to revive yourself within 30 seconds of death. When revived, you'll have Slowness I and Weakness I for 15 seconds.

Striker (unlocks at 10 wins + 325 points)
When killed, you will automatically stab your killer as a final strike, damaging 5 hearts worth of their health. Your final comeback will be dealt to your killer even if you were protected by a Guardian Angel.

Guardian Angel (unlocks at 20 wins + 450 points)
Right click a player to bless them. You can only bless 1 player per game, but you can change target at any time before the currently blessed player dies. When a blessed player dies, they'll immediately be resurrected regardless of their location. If a blessed survivalist have not used their self revive ability, their first death will use your resurrection. For interactions with Neutral classes, please see their own class description. If your target falls into the void, they'll be resurrected at a random location in the map. You may bless yourself by right clicking on the block you are standing on.

Storm Wizard (unlocks at 30 wins + 475 points)
Right click a player to summon an invisible lightning upon them, giving them Blindness and Nausea for 15 seconds, while also dealing 2 hearts of damage to said target. You can only target another player when the previous target's effects had worn off. Shift + right click to summon a storm and give everyone in the game (including yourself) Blindness and Nausea for 15 seconds, but you won't do any damage. You can only activate this ability once per 2 minutes.

Matchmaker (unlocks at 30 wins + 525 points)
At any point during the game, right click a player to pair them with the next player you right click. If a player in a pair dies, the other one dies too. A pair will disband 4 minutes after matching, and you cannot match another pair until then. If the pair dies, you may not match another pair for the rest of the game. You may match yourself by right clicking on the block you are standing on. NOTE! Unlike other classes, once the match has been made, both players in the pair will be notified, but they won't know eachother's name. They will also be notified when the pair is disbanded.

Sniper (unlocks at 35 wins + 525 points)
Hold RMB with your sword in hand to zoom in (Slowness 128), then release to fire a bullet in the direction of your crosshair, which deals as much damage as 2 fully charged melee attacks. Sneak for a total of 15 seconds to reload. You can only have 1 bullet loaded at a time.
Investigator
At any point during the game, shift + right click a player to know their class. You can investigate as many players as you need to, with a cool down of 3 minutes per investigation.

Detective
Essentially the same as Investigator, but instead of knowing your target's class, you'll know what faction your target belongs in.

Senior
Regardless of influences, the name you are given at the start of the game always belongs to a true ally.

Assistant
At the start of the game, you'll not only know an ally's name, but you'll also know their class. The ally will have a glowing effect that only you can see for 15 seconds.

Scout
You'll get to know 2 ally's name and an enemy's name.

Medium (50 points)
You can read the chat of dead players.

Pathologist (100 points)
Shift + right click a corpse to see the dead player's and their killer's name.

Judge (250 points)
When someone dies, you'll be informed which faction the dead player and their killer belongs to respectively. You'll be informed with the dead player's name, but not the killer's. You will not be given any information if the deceased is still capable of reviving themselves or if they were protected by a Guardian Angel.

Undertaker (250 points)
When someone dies, you'll get to know their name and their class, but not their faction. You don't know anything about their killer. You will not be given any information if the deceased is still capable of reviving themselves or if they were protected by a Guardian Angel.

Sheriff (300 points)
At the start of the game, select a player to interrogate them. You won't know which faction your target belongs in, but you'll get to know their class and the information that they had received at the start of the game.

Tracker (300 points)
At any point of the game, shift + right click an user to track their activity. This allows you to see who they killed, who killed them and who they have interacted with, but you can't know what ability they used. (Your target have interacted with _____!) You can change target during any time of the game. Once tracked, you'll be able to see their activities even when you're dead.

Eavesdropper (350 points)
You can read all private messages and whispers from anywhere in the map, with the exception of encoded messages from Cryptographers. This ability is active at all times, even when you're dead.

Ghost (unlocks at 25 wins + 400 points)
You'll start the game as a spectator, which allows you to fly around the map. Right click at any time to join the game. If more than a third of the players have died, you'll be forced to join the game. When joining the game, you cannot choose where to spawn. You'll not be informed with a teammate's name until you join the game.

Veteran (unlocks at 25 wins + 400 points)
You know exactly what's going on. Get a message every time something about you happens, such as activating an executioner's trap, getting investigated, tracked and hypnotized, etc. You'll also know if there is an Eavesdropper and/or a Psychic in the game or not. You are still vulnerable against deceptive classes.

Chairman (unlocks at 30 wins + 350 points)
You'll know 4 of your teammate's names at the start of the game. You are immune against Spies and Liars, but you'll have a greater chance of being targeted by Blackmailers, Memory Eaters and Mentors.

Analyst (unlocks at 7 wins using informative classes + 225 points)
At the start of the game, select a class that you wish to analyze. Instead of receiving an ally's name, you'll instead know the names of all players who are using the analyzed class. If the veteran class is analyzed, all veterans in the game will be informed. You are immune against Memory Eaters and Mentors.
Spy
At the start of the game, you will appear as an ally for both teams.

Liar
At the start of the game, one player on the enemy team will appear as an enemy for both teams.

Cryptographer (75 points)
Your private messages and whispers cannot be eavesdropped or read, but the receiver must have a key to read your message. To give a key, shift + right click the player who can read your message. If you give a key to an Eavesdropper or a Psychic, the Eavesdropper or the Psychic will be able to see your messages as usual. Sneak while standing still for 5 seconds to return all given keys. If there are no Eavesdropper or Psychic in the game, everyone with this class will be changed to a random deceptive class.

Traitor (125 points)
You can change your team, but only once. If you are the last player alive on your team, changing your team will result in an immediate loss to you and the team you were in.

Janitor (200 points)
When you kill someone, nobody on the enemy team can collect information about the dead player.

Crematonist (225 points)
Burn a body by right clicking on it. This can be done once per game. The target player cannot be resurrected by a Retributionist or investigated by a Pathologist, and Soul Shifters can no longer use the corpse. If there is no Retributionist or Soul Shifter in the game, everyone with this class will be changed to a random deceptive class.

Blackmailer (300 points)
Blackmail a random player on the enemy team. The player will not be able to talk for the entire game.

Infiltrator (300 points)
A random enemy will not receive any information at the start of the game. This class is ineffective against Seniors and Analysts and will target other enemies if available.

Framer (350 points)
Right click at any time to bring up a menu of all players who are currently alive. When you kill someone, you will frame the selected player as the killer, which will be shown to Reaper, Tracker and Pathologist class players.

Mentor (375 points)
A random enemy will receive misleading information at the start of the game, such as getting an enemy's name when it's supposed to be an ally's, and vice versa. This class is ineffective against Seniors and Analysts and will target other enemies if available.

Hypnotist (400 points)
Shift + right click a player to change their faction. This can be done twice per game, with a cooldown of 2 minutes. You won't know which team the target player was previously in.

Shape Shifter (450 points)
When you kill someone, you'll become that player (continue the game using their name and skin), and your former self will die.

Necromancer (15 wins + 525 points)
Right click a corpse to reanimate it. You'll then proceed to temporarily play the game under their identity. You cannot use any abilities from the corpse during the reanimation. If someone attacks your real self, you'll automatically stop reanimating and return to your own body. If the corpse dies, the reanimation stops. You cannot reanimate the same corpse twice, but the corpse can still be interacted by Soul Shifters and Pathologists. Judges and Undertakers will not receive any notification when the reanimation ends.

Witch (30 wins + 550 points)
Right click a block to put an invisible hex on top of it. You can put down max 5 hexes at a time. Anyone who steps on a hexed block will be hexed, and the hex from the block is returned to you. A hexed player will appear as a Witch to Investigators, reverse the investigation result for Detectives, and cannot use their abilities, excluding passive effects. You are immune against hexes, but your teammates can still be hexed by you. Right click a player who has been hexed by you to clean them. If a player is hexed twice, regardless of whom the hexes belong to, the hexes will cancel out each other.

Neutral Classes
Neutral Classes are classes that are, upon selection, automatically excluded from the two major factions. A neutral class player can only win if they are the last player alive, even if there are other players with the same class in the game. This does not include the Mime, which can turn into a non-neutral class at will. Neutral classes are a bit harder to play and requires a more careful strategy, as there is no team to work with. This means everyone will and must try to kill you once you're confirmed to be neutral.

DECEPTIVE: Mime (unlocks at 10 wins + 400 points)
Right click a player to change your class and team to said player's class and team. You cannot change your class again once you've successfully changed to a non-Mime class. If you are the last player alive while still being a Mime, you'll win alone.

PASSIVE: Stalker (unlocks at 20 wins + 575 points)
With each player you kill, you'll gain an additional level of Strength. When you reach Level 5, which is the highest level you can obtain, you'll instantly revive yourself at full health when killed at the cost of resetting your Strength effect. If you are blessed by a Guardian Angel, you'll only use their resurrection if you die before you could reach Strength V. Regardless of who you were revived by, your Strength effect will always reset.

PASSIVE: Vampire (unlocks at 30 wins + 650 points)
Every time you hit a player, you'll heal yourself with 50% of the damage inflicted. For each direct kill, you'll gain an extra health boost of 2 hearts. If you die and were revived, your health boost will reset.

DECEPTIVE: Soul Shifter (unlocks at 40 wins + 800 points)
When you die, you won't leave a corpse behind, but instead you'll disappear in a cloud of smoke and continue playing as someone else who died before you. You'll respawn at a random corpse's location, and you'll continue the game as if the corpse's owner had been revived. If you are blessed by a Guardian Angel, you'll only use their resurrection if there are no corpses available for you to shift into. Once permanently dead, you cannot be revived by anything.

DECEPTIVE: Cloak Master (unlocks at 50 wins + 425 points)
At any time during the game, right click in the air to open a menu where you can choose a class and a major faction to disguise as. This information will be shown to Investigators, Detectives and Judges. You can also choose to be invisible, which will prevent everyone from seeing and interacting with you, but the invisibility will wear off when you deal damage towards anyone.

INFORMATIVE: Psychic (unlocks at 60 wins + 825 points)
Right click a player to instantly know their class, but you won't know their team. Right clicking them will also allow you to read all future messages they send, including the name of the receiver. You must obtain the Cryptographer's key in order to read said Cryptographer's messages. You can read private messages from an unlimited amount of players, but you must first target them. This ability has no cooldown.

This game belongs on Cubecraft! The flow of the game would keep everyone on edge, because at any moment a shape shifter could take over one of your known allies... and WHAP! You are killed before you knew what hit you. Also nice job on the kits they are well balanced and
each has pros and cons.
+1 from me!

"Deception" is a game heavily based on trust and communication.
Considering large chunks of our community speak different languages (English, Dutch, and Spanish mostly) communication-based games can really, really go south. That said, the idea sounds pretty interesting. Sounds a bit like Murder Mystery or G-Mod's Trouble in Terrorist Town.

Being heavily based on communication wouldn't everythign break appears due to language and wouldn't people just troll and lie constantly to their team mates
Also this would be like Uhc Ghosting in voice chat
You'd be in voice chat and have unfair advantages

Considering large chunks of our community speak different languages (English, Dutch, and Spanish mostly) communication-based games can really, really go south. That said, the idea sounds pretty interesting. Sounds a bit like Murder Mystery or G-Mod's Trouble in Terrorist Town.
Localized lobbies could be implemented. When you select the game from the compass, a new menu shows up with 4 options - English, Español, Nederlands and International. English and Int. lobbies both use English, but Spanish and Dutch lobbies will have all text in the same language as the lobby. The first 3 lobbies will enforce their language, and it can be punishable to use any other language outside of the specified. You can speak any language in the International lobby. The same leaderboard and individual statistics are shared between all lobbies.

EDIT: MM and TTT both have one thing in common, and that is there is only one traitor. Deception doesn't have that, it's an (usually) equal battle between two factions. If you really want to play the bad guy, there's neutral roles for that.

EDIT 2: Speaking of neutral roles, I'm gonna have to change the system. It's rather messy.
