I recently tried Surrounding my egg with cake it works great they ether have to mine through it or eat it and both are annoying plus sometimes they just look at you then jump off and let you win

The best blocks to defend you egg with are haybales, glass, cakes and obsidian. But the most annoying are the chests.

I did this with friends during summer this year and we won quite a few games using this tactic so please don't te anyone this tactic else everyone will use it this is the key to succes
