When will the anticheat be updated to be a high class true hacker banning machine? I went to go play 1.8 pvp on 1.9 and I instantly went up against a hacker. Hackers are getting more and more common now and we need to "build a shelter" against them and make it to where there is the least amount of hackers possible.
The hacker problem was a huge problem back in late 2016-early 2017, but ever since the anti-cheat released the amount has heavily plummeted. What used to be a hacker every other game for me has turned into a hacker every other day if I'm lucky, and I'm really not complaining myself.
Sure, it can be annoying to come across one every now and then, but the anticheat already does an amazing job considering they're pretty scarce nowadays. Usually the only ones you'd run into are people with a simple killaura, and those are extremely easy to outsmart since half of the time they're bad at predicting your moves. Sentinel definitely can be improved, but that's pretty much always happening. The anti-cheat dev is usually dealing with anti-cheat appeals every day to further improve the anti-cheat.
Since Sentinel's release, it has come a pretty long way and I'm glad to say that I rarely run into hackers anymore.
1.9 hackers are op because you need to time your hits and if they hit you every time then it is really hard. If you're in 1.8, then you can spam click the hacker so its pretty simple. Example: In 1.8, there are lots of hackers, but they aren't super hard to kill. 1.9 pvp, not a lot of hackers, but better advantage. It just seems that both versions need help instead of paying attention to updating games.
This comes down to opinion: I don't struggle too much when dealing with hackers when I have a strategy.
Currently there's really no point in stopping the updates on other games as there's only 1 or 2 devs working on the anti-cheat, one of which
only works on the anti-cheat. There are plenty of developers, but they all specialize in different areas. They can't all work on the anti-cheat if they're not qualified to, and this means that they can update games while the anti-cheat dev improves Sentinel.
Most games are fun and up to almost full glory, but the anti cheat is meh. It bans people, but sometimes it might false kick, false ban, and sometimes hackers come back with alts. Update Sentinel? I know I make a bit of debate about Sentinel, but I think it should be updated
Asking for Sentinel to be updated is a pretty vague thing to ask as you're not really specifying how it could be updated, or what it isn't picking up. The alt situation can't really be remedied since Cube doesn't like the idea of IP-banning because:
A. VPN's can easily be used to bypass
B. Siblings of said hacker would be affected if they had different account
C. Public internet sources would be affected by the IP ban, effectively meaning that a lot of people dissociated from each other being affected by a single persons doings.
The minigames on the server may already seem like they're complete, but there's
always room for improvements and suggestions. It's what the community has the biggest say in!
