Greetings everyone!
I wish you all a new year and as the year of 2018 comes to an end, I would like to annouce that I am going to be leaving the moderation team during the first week of 2019.
I've been with the cubecraft server for over 4 years and I am going to continue to support it from a different position in the staff team. You might be thinking what's the big deal, it's not like I'm resigning, technically, for me, this is the same as a resignation as I won't be moderating or escalating any more suggestions, I won't be interracting from you all as much as I used to, so it really feels like a resignation of my role as a moderator towards the community.
Now for the reasons why I am leaving.
I'm 22, I've gotten pretty old and in recent times I have the feeling the the focus of the game of minecraft has shifted from a game of all ages to a kids game.
New flashy colors and gimmiks are being added but there simply aren't anymore elements being added to the game that give it a real sense of depth and I'm not talking about depth like in subnautica, I could write a whole thread on what I think minecraft is missing as a game but I'll leave that out for now as it isn't the topic of this thread.
The TLDR of it would be that you have one character, one goal, get diamonds, kill a dragon. No matter how many blocks, colors or types of swords mojang add to the game, the core if it never changes, there is only one reason your player exists in that world, and when you accomplish the goal, there is nothing else to do, you can argue that there are achievements, but they are just a band-aid solution to the underlying problem that this game has.
I've long fallen out with the original survival aspect of the game, cubecraft has for a long time kept me interrested with it's minigames and progression system and I am willing to keep contributing to in order to continue to help cubecraft bring the best out of what minecraft has to offer as a designer.
I am a student, I have school projects as I'm currently following a bachelors degree in computer architecture and information systems, I sadly don't have enough time to moderate as much as I used to.
I would like to give my thanks to many many many users I've come to see over the years

You can't have amazing french fries without the necessary amount of salt, therefore I am also going to thank the following users for their own controversial, interresting and more argumentative stances on various different topics.

I am still going to be around on the forums from time to time to check in, however, I won't be escalating threads, banning/muting, dealing with appeals or any other staff actions that I'm confidently leaving in the very capable hands of the rest of the staff team.
