basically in minecraft i try to use my escape key but it doesnt seem to work, i have been on a different version of minecraft and it still doesn't do anything. i have even got a new keyboard...ugh someone help

When you start minecraft instead of clicking multiplayer go into options and change it?

Did you try if it works somewhere else, because my Esc on my laptop isnt working either. If it however does seem to work, only on minecraft it wont work, then as the others said, you have to change it in the controls
