So I play CubeCraft. Mostly EggWars. But since the 1.9 update there are many people left in the dark who don't know how to 1.9 PvP, since that was tweaked. Here's a guide:
1: Weapons have cooldowns. Axes are now the best dealing damage. But swords swing a lot faster, since axes are really slow. So, I recommend starting out with an axe, then going to a diamond sword. Usually it doesn't automatically show the cooldown timer. So here's a guide in guide how to show cooldown: Go to options -> Video settings. There it should be.
2: Since 1.9 changed PvP so much, some are really fast on calling hacks based on PvP. Sure if you see that guy with anti-kb, report him! But what I mean, since the cooldown doesn't prevent you from dealing damage, people believe you hack if you spam swing but STILL deal a lot of damage. See, the cooldown reduces the amount of damage you deal. If you let it fully recharge, it'll do the max damage. If you spam, the damage you deal will be close to just fist. So please don't call hacks based on swing/damage. Swords swing really fast remember.
3: Criticals are more present now. If you see hearts fly off your opponent, you can be sure you landed a fine crit. So this makes jumping a really important aspect on PvP. But jumping with a bow is bad idea. It's a common myth in 1.8 that jumping while firing will get you more damage. No. Damage with a bow is based on how charged it is, in both 1.8 and 1.9. 1.9 makes it worse, becuase not only is it completely useless to jump whle firing, jumping now severely decreases your accuracy.
The main points are: 1.9 PvP has cooldowns. Be careful on calling hacks on attack speed/damage. Charge your bow for max damage, don't jump while firing.
Any similarities to similar guides are purely coincidental. I don't know if CubeCraft have made an official guide, if they have plz don't hate i fan.
