Go to an ice tower, DON'T spam with your right-click button, hold the button with your right-click button.

I think that used to work, though I’ve tried it a couple of times and it never works. How long do I have to press it for?

About 20/30 seconds.
Btw you also have to fly, and hold shift and space!

Actually you need to build your own ICE tower, equip your sword and hold right click the button (while equipping your sword)
Without sword in your hand, it wouldn't work i guess.
