Though what I'm about to say is basically a repeat of what's been said above, I'll just do so for confirmation.
I have been facing so many hackers in 1.13... so many hax
Solution: Report them on the
reports site. You could also wait for either Sentinel or another player to report the cheater if you don't want to report, but that may take longer. There will always be cheaters on all servers.
"sentinel is watching" it is not banning everyone i know its not possible
Well, not
everyone is cheating necessarily. You could be confusing some players for cheaters.
But that aside, of course Sentinel doesn't get to every player. No anti-cheat could work 100% of the time with perfect accuracy.
many people using killauras... nobody gets banned
many people dont get knockback - no matter how many times u hit them they just dont move... especisally in king of hill and other knockback stick games
this is so frustating
I highly doubt that nobody gets banned (simply because of the difference sentinel has made after its release), but if it does miss players, you can just as easily report it. You'd be helping out future victims of the cheater that way.
As for the no knockback: People can lag and have delayed and seemingly reduced knockback. I'm not saying this is always the case, but it's something to look out for. Not everyone with inconsistent knockback has to be cheating.
and also there is no in game reporting system so that u can report the player then and there
Because it wouldn't work out well. If, for instance, staff had to go and look at those who were reported, it'd take a long time to actually see whether the person is indeed cheating. I believe it takes a staff member at least 5x as long to deal with cheaters on the network (to collect evidence) as opposed to handling reports, as the evidence is already there to be looked at.
There's also the problem that people (un)intentionally report players who aren't cheating, making it a waste of time for a staff member to go and check it out.
you think sentinel is a god and sees everyone
Well, keeping in mind what I said earlier, no. I don't think Sentinel is a god. Sentinel
is an anti-cheat though, even if it doesn't get to all cheaters.
add some reporting system in game which we can use to alert sentinel.
Absolutely zero point in doing this.
I've seen you mention WD as an example, but here's a huge difference (that others have mentioned too!): Watchdog only actively watches player
if they've been reported with /wdr. This means that the damage is already done by the time the anti-cheat bans the cheater.
Sentinel on the other hand, watches everyone no matter what. There's no need to report them, so there's no unnecessary step to have the anti-cheat ban someone.
