I find most of these XiiKa comments quite dumb and hilarious.

Xiika NEVER Do anything she's always playing team skywars and when i do /report she never check it. SHE'S Bad staff demote her. -.-

She does quite a bit actually, just because you never see her online doesn't make her never. She is one of the handful of staff who play for fun and to look for rule breakers. Also considering we need MORE staff demoting an actual good staff would be a bad idea.

+ the requirements say that staff should be active and she wasn't active before she got staff and now she doesn't even look at the forums anymore. (At least that's what it looks like)

So I’m gonna say this is false because she was on forums from time to time but she has her activity turned off so you couldn’t see her. She was one of those members who you never noticed till they got staff like quite a few helpers before her.

It's a voluntary job. She doesn't have to check reports.

Yep.

HAHAHA WTF?? So explain why she have moderator rank, moderators should see the server working. In that case if she don't do anything is better remove the moderator rank. Literally she's always, ALWAYS playing.

How do I explain how she has a moderator rank? The staff manager gave it to her. Lol. Again she does do things in-game and when I direct message she answers quickly unlike other active staff so I wouldn’t say she does nothing. Plus playing in-game is great and there’s nothing wrong with it.

The fact that she plays is not a bad thing. It would be worse if she didn't play at all. But she could improve her forums and discord activity.

That’s a reasonable response.

i agree, look, CapitanGato do the "moderador job" correctly,he check reports, answer messages, look forums, look reports page etc, i love him and sometimes i see him in a game BUT Xiika 100% of times is playing team skywars and you can go 1.8 and do /report, She never check it (when she's online)

Not everyone can be Capitan and not to mention none of the other mods are 100% perfect either. Also for all you know she is taking care of cheaters in 1.8. I don’t think you’d know because you don’t play with her.

When I was a staff member for almost a year I’ve literally never heard anything about her working behind the scenes. She almost never replied on the staff chat (might’ve been 3 to 4 times she actually participated). Did that change the past year?

She's part of helper recruitment and helper mentoring which is why you probably didn't see her helping out in the staff channel areas. I know for a fact that at least when I was still a staff member, she played an active role in mentoring helpers and also going through the many staff application that are received daily.

Idk what she does now as I haven't been on the staff team for 2 years but I'm fairly sure you never actually saw the work she did since you were never part of these 'helper' teams.

(Btw this is not leaking. Tacos made the helper recruitment team public 2 years ago. I am only commenting on what was made public 2 years ago, when I was still a part of the staff team. I do not know if she is still part of this team or what she is involved with.)

Besides, there's no gain in removing a semi-active staff member when she's trustworthy and still doing little bits of work. Every little helps!

That being said, Cube needs to RECRUIT more staff rather than fire those who are semi-active. The staff recruitment system right now is really quite bad in my opinion and it needs improvement. I don't really want to comment on that now because I'm lazy. I just kinda wanted to support zRinne and share my experiences.

Saying that though and reflecting, I'm not really trying to call her active. With all due respect to Rinne, there hasn't been a new helper in ages so it would be nice to see her helping out in different moderation areas.

Staff have a life though and everyone's interest in the game and the server dies down. Forcing her to do something she doesn't want will eventually lead to her resignation and will ultimately stop her from doing the moderation tasks that she likes and have to be done, which would otherwise need another moderator to do. Interest in the game fluctuates and making moderation feel like a chore will only drive you further away from the game itself.

Back on topic, I'm simply defending the point that removing semi-active staff isn't contributing to improving Cube. Removing zRinne and other 'inactive' staff members is just a bad idea. One hacker banned is better than none!
A staff member should only be removed when it comes to the extreme that they are so inactive that they are unable to keep up to date with new information that is given to them.

HOWEVER

I do believe that the 'Sr.Mod' title should be a title to maintain rather than earn once and then sit back and relax. Since the title is rather honorary, it is generally treated as a sign of respect and therefore Sr Mods should act like role models to other moderators. Having inactive Sr Mods sets a bad example upon moderators and helpers climbing their way up the ranks.

I remember back in my helper days, the senior moderators who were mentoring me were so inactive that they couldn't handle the number of reports I was making and I had to go to @zDutchie to get my reports done. How am I supposed to learn from the Sr Mods when they weren't active enough to teach?? I complained about this to Mac but he didn't do anything but that's besides the point.

Most staff here are pretty old and around their mid 20's, so I cant blame them for being inactive. When age comes, more of their time gets taken away.

Even if I dont like the fact that you've mentioned people and called them out to try and get them demoted, which is not gonna help cube at all, I do agree that some staff isn't active at all tho. "BuT tHeY hAve ReAl liVes". Excuse me? There's a huge gap between having other irl interest and not doing your job at all, if they dont want to do their job because they've lost the interest, then guess what, they can just resign and not make the moderation team look like it's dead

They are doing little bits every so often.

It's just that you may not see what they do since generally to get noticed by the community as a moderator, you have to do tons and tons of work.
For example, you don't actually see how many reports a certain moderator handles. A moderator may handle 100 reports per week or ban 100 players per week but this number would still get unnoticed by the community.

The moderation team may seem 'dead' in your eyes, but it certainly isn't behind the scenes.

Also, as I mentioned earlier: some weeks are busier than others, some months are busier than others, some years are busier than others. Removing a moderator who's having a bad year at school and is devoting more time to better his school grades would have no positive impact on Cube or the staff activity. In fact, it would make the staff team look even more dead due to its incredibly small staff numbers.
