Inappropriate Usernames (Not an appeal)

Hey.

Now as you can see my Username is offensive to such a degree as to which i was banned. (I will think about changing it).
However, I find being banned is ridiculous. Don't judge me, I'm sorry, I've just grown attached to this name I have used for a while now.
And I'm not going to ramble or moan, just gonna splash some points out that can help people see the other view (my view).

1.Covering up names
You can do it. It's not hard. If my name was censored so nobody could see it on CubeCraft I would be fine with it. I go on various other servers. I know it's possible. But it was my personal choice to pick this username and I shouldn't be singled out and punished if people find it offensive.

2. The game allows it
Before I appear like I'm attacking innocent people, Mojang are completely fine with offensive usernames. An offensive name only gives somebody an excuse to report and feel like a hero.

3. The extent of its 'offensiveness' to other players
Aside from all this, the only hate I have received around my IGN was personal insults such as 'You're a horrible human being'. Fine by me. Other than that I have received no warning that I would be banned because of my IGN (Didn't think it was rational or plausible) or anything like 'Please change your name It is really offensive to me I have....etc'

4. My personal opinion
I know everyone will not be on my side (Hardly anyone) because it's an offensive name and I will have the disadvantage in this argument. But please put aside this and consider my suggestions (Or anything positive. I'll accept anything). I really should not have to change my name to access this server (Since technically I did nothing wrong, It's just that my IGN is wrong'. I'm a nice guy (And believe me I am) and I don't hack, spam abuse or troll and grief. I was just getting along until this took place.

In conclusion (And totally off topic. My conclusion was kinda in my opinion but meh), does anyone remember Squirty11? Just a question. Been gone for a year or so.

Anyway I hope I don't come across as an asshole but as a reasonable guy with reasonably points. My IGN is CancerClause if you didn't see and I changed it because of the Christmas Holidays. I really don't mean to offend anyone with it, I just like it.

It is pretty sad to see that you like the name 'CancerClause'. Cancer is a serious disease, not something to make 'jokes' about. I completely understand why they banned you. How hard can it be to think of a normal name? Just change your name to an appropriate one, and you will get unbanned.

You think I dont know the seriousness of this disease, Of course I'm aware of its impact on society and families victum to it. But does having this name directly make fun of the name? Just because it has Cancer in it does not suggest that it is mocking the disease. My original name was infact Cancer_ but I changed it as soon as the required month passed because i realiaed that it was directly offensing players when I killed them e.g 'Soandso was killed by Cancer_'. I decided to make it less cruel and less depreasing by making it Christmas themed.

Trust me it was worst back then and Im glad i wasnt reported because I would have had less of an argument to put up.

Not much of an excuse but it's something I have become known for and If i changed it nobody would recognize me. I go on other servers regularly too.
This server has 2 things I like which is the only reason I bothered to put up a fight.

I agree. Cancer is not only a disease. My mother was born in june and thats why het horoscope is cancer. If her name would be CancerMom, would she get banned? Why? Its just a horoscope. But people get offended too fast. And no, I don't like when Dutch people swear and use cancer for it, but that's because they WANT to offend you.

Fair enough.
Vut the reason I was banned is because the name offended someone. Not the fact that it is offensive. If someone was offened which I highly doubt since your rule 10 is: 'No offensive usernames' and not 'If your username offends anyone, you're out bucko', i apologise. But the rule isnt about the offended but its about the offender.

Now about what you said refarding the 'Our server our guidlines not Mojangs'. I cant argue with that. However i can bring up my 1st 4th and possibly 3rd suggestion. It can be censored and covered, techbically i did nothing wrong etc. Pay a little attention to that and get back on me, since you are the one who banned me.

You've hit the jackpot my friend. It's not directly offending anyone e.g 'YouHaveCancer13'. Its the way you interpret it. I.e someone says Black and you think its racist. Except in this case, i say Cancer and its offensive.

But it's not directly offending anyone is it? It's all about interpretation and If my intentions aren't 'insultation' then it's your fault as It does not by any means mock, bully or offend anyone. You shouldn't look at it so negatively. It's a horoscope.
