But.. why? A team selling all of their towers before armageddon would lose quickly, since they need to place them back and that takes time. Lightning strikes over time anyways.

I would also say no to this, I agree with what @guardtown said, but also that tower strikes should be random in the game, just like how the wither randomly selects a tower to destroy, I don't believe that it should be changed completely, but I do agree with the lightning should strike the same type of tower (IE. An Archer Tower gets smited, an archer tower on the other side should be smited)

I think he means that it would be better if the random tower spots (he calls them "nodes") got struck by lightning, with or without towers, then replicate the same map spot in the enemy team layout to make it more "fair". And that would cause lightning to be more "random", but also less frustrating to play against (just because you'd not have to spam archers - waste time and coins - on your whole lane to prevent destruction of your major towers). That would cause lightning to work like this: A lightning strikes a completely random wood plank (tower block) on the lane and this is what happens:

#1 If lightning strikes a plank without any tower part on it, nothing happens (or to make things harder, it could cause the plank to become a different block, unable to build on... Tbh when I think about it, it'd be a great Hardcore Mode feature).
#2 If lightning strikes a plank with any tower pieces, that tower gets demolished as it does now.

I don't think the wither destroys tower randomly, since it always destroy the leech and turrets. I think it actually destroys the tower that deals more damage.
I think the lighting should strike the towers with almost equal value on both sides, so both teams lose the equal amount of value.

I try not to play this mode very often but i dont know if its my imagination but what I have noticed is that the team with the less players it seems to destroy more towers.. It don't seem to be 1 off 1 side then 1 from the other.. is that the case??

Lightning armageddon should strike the tower placement nodes instead of the actual towers. In theory (right now) a team could sell all of their towers before a lightning strikes and pass go collecting $200. The lightning would also check if the tower placement node has a tower above it and destroy that tower. When lightning strikes a tower node, then it should mirror the same strike onto the other team's side to promote fairness.
I dont agree with this. Personally i think lightning needs to be replaced with a different horde mode, something more fun to play against, like say one that puts permanent speed on the battlefield or something. That suggestion is just what popped in my head, i have no idea if it would be good or not.
