Many players on cubecraft are using clients right now, if you make an chat-report with the client on, the evidence is unvalid, an example is using Labymod.

The problem is, i've reported so many players and all the reports got closed, because i was using Labymod. Understandable, but they were breaking the rules for sure!!

Sentinel was a great update and punished many players without moderators, so that was the first step to punish players i guess.
But the mute reports are only valid without any client on. So if someone is breaking the rules for 100% sure, you cannot make an report because you're using a client.
And the problem is, you can't turn off the client just in a second, you need to restart the whole game and ofcourse if you will restart, the chat files are gone, so making a report would be impossible.

What if you guys invent a system that you can live report {same as /sr} a player for breaking the rules in CHAT?
It would be so much better. I think if you want to report a player for breaking the chat rules, you can select the messages marked as mutable. After the report, the selected messages {or a part of the chat history} will be send to a staff member, so they can decide if a mute is worth it.

Or, a system to report the chat of a game, like Rocket League. If you start a game, you got a server number for that game. So if someone send a report, he just reported the 'server'. In this case staff members can select the server number, and they have all the acces to the messages. What if you guys can invent the same system. It would be very useful!
Like, if someone wants to report a player, he got a menu after typing a command meant to select a player or multiple players who were breaking the chat rules. Staffmembers can just filter the name of the players who got reported and they can see all the mesagges they have sent.

In this case everyone can report players breaking the chat rules while using a client, i think this system will solve a lot of toxicity, bullying and threats.

Firstly the way /sr and /report work is that they notify staff of a rulebreaker, the staff will then spectate whoever was reported and try to catch them actually breaking the rules.
There's several things not included in these commands due to them generally speaking being one time offences, meaning they're not likely to break that rule more than once. This is the reason there is no option to report for chat rules being broken. They're not likely to be broken again, at least not in a short period of time. It would be highly impractical to use /sr and /report to report chat rules being broken.
This is not even mentioning the fact Staff members are already overwhelmed by the amount of reports at times and can't keep up, adding this as well would make this issue even worse.

Secondly, Chat logs do exist to an extent, however imagine trying to look through all of those just to punish someone, it seems like a lot of effort to go through. Again, this would be massively impractical as a solution to a fairly minor problem. And most likely creating a system to make this easier would be a massive undertaking for Developers and thus also impractical. Their energy can be better spent elsewhere.

Because thirdly, not all clients prohibit you from reporting. In fact, you can report with literally any allowed client except for Laby, this is due to the Nickname feature it has. It makes it too easy to falsify reports.

So although I do understand your frustration, I'm still going to have to disagree with your suggestion. If you really wish to report people for chat offences, I'd recommend using BadLionClient, CaloriMod, or Lunar Client instead of LabyMod.

Damn, i think a explanation more clearly than this doesnt exist, thank!
I understand everything right now, ofcourse i already knew it would be a lot of work to make such a system like this, but i thought let me try at least to explain my idea.

However, i know Cubecraft don't accept reports made while Labymod was on.
First of all, all Laby users know, Laby is such the best client of all the clients, so switching to another client, is a no go for us xd.

But i've searched it out, yes i can see right now that you can change playernames, i doesn't know how, but i see the add-on, but without the addon you can't change anything, we all know that. But as far as i know, you can only change player names above their head, and not in the chat. But i could be wrong ofcourse!
The add-on called 'friend tags'.

So what if Cubecraft add some new rules for chat-reports with Labymod?
Like, you can clearly see the addons you have installed in the menu of Labymod, just press ESC and you're there.
So what if you can submit reports with Labymod, but only with video evidence?
Like, in the video the player needs to show first that he doesn't use the add-on, after that he can show the chat.

Is this maybe a solution? Let me know, and again, thanks for your clearly explanation!

No problem! I'm glad to help! :D
And yeah of course if you have an idea it's better to at least try to share it. Who knows, maybe people will love your next idea!

I haven't used LabyMod in a while, however as far as I know it actually does change people's usernames both above their heads and in the chat. It does show a little tag next to it, however that is very easy to edit out, meaning it's still incredibly easy to fake evidence with it.

So what if you can submit reports with Labymod, but only with video evidence?

Although this could most likely prove that you're not using the add-on, I feel like there's a few key reasons Cube hasn't done this.
1. Clarity. It's a lot less clear to have these extra requirements and it might be confusing to new people.
2. Adding these extra requirements, besides making it potentially confusing, will also add more work for both reporters and staff. Reporters might be okay with this, however staff will have to memorise more rules, be more careful with checking if it all follows the requirements, and they might be getting a lot of reports from Laby users not fully understanding the requirements. All this comes down to extra workload for staff for no real reason, most people are after all perfectly fine without reporting, and if it really is important to them they can always switch clients.

Unfortunately I think you'll have to either switch clients or live with being unable to report. :c

This only counts for Labymod because there is a feature in which you can give players a nickname. So the moderators won't be able to know if this is the real player or a nick/tag on the player placed by the person that made a report. You can make a screenshot and report with in on clients like lunar client tho!
