Web Make advertising for a non-profit Discord server allowed

Since my recent suggestion received a lot of praise (lol). (Thanks @Zed for your genious reply, I hope you have another one.) I would like to suggest to make it possible to advertise about your own server (not related to joining a minecraft server, just chatting and such) where you talk about meaningful things in life other than Minecraft.

I in first instance wanted cubecraft to do it because im lazy, but I guess I’ll have to set up this section myself, outside Cubecraft.

I simply can’t see why this wouldn’t be allowed. You add a select group of people to this server that are mature enough to watch this contect, while excluding people who would be harmed by this. It also decreases the need to share those things on cube, thus removing the amount of inappropiate content and keeping the environment more safe or however you would call that.

I understand your point, but I think that the main reason is that CubeCraft can't guarantee any safety for CubeCraft players that join other discord servers thru CubeCraft's discord server.

I get your point, but considering the servers that people typically try and send invites to are pretty often times Minecraft related, I don't think it'd work. Those are also people who don't usually take the time to read the rules either, so even if a new rule was implemented for advertising non-Minecraft related servers, it'd be overlooked by a good chunk of members. It's not a bad idea at all, but from a logical standpoint I don't think it would work imo D:

While I'd like for something like this, I have massive concerns around player safety. Cubecraft cannot properly enforce player safety on external servers, and considering how even the attempts with the ECO program have shown that there will always be at least some failure in player safety which just isn't acceptable. Discord as a whole is a pretty horrible place, and even if cube is able to keep moderation on their own server to a good standard like they do, there will be a lot of illegal and downright disgusting content on these servers with no way to properly verify them - and no Discord's Trust and Safety is not good enough whatsoever to establish good enough player safety. Unless these issues with player safety are resolved, I don't see a way forwar switch this.
