Massive Suggestion Thread

I like all of them, but the one that I think stands out the most is the vanity update. I think vanity needs an update because it’s getting old. I like the end rod you showed, but I also think there should be blocks too! Every block. Ok maybe not every block but at least the endrod and all glass colors.

+1 for all of these, but the chat filter should be optional for pchat so those who don't want swearing in a party they created have better control.

Maybe increase the space between spawn islands on some skywars maps? This would make it harder for players grinding to just take the firsy weapon they see in a chest, rush a neighbour on no proj and kill them within 5secs of the game starting (most ppl spend more than that looting their chests and sorting out their gear)

Hello Cubecraft players,

Today I’m going to put a lot of great suggestions in one thread.
Some ideas are my own, and some ideas are from others. I’ll give you credit if it’s yours and I’ll explain it real quick. (If I forgot to give you credit. Please tell me ^-^)

Chat Filter (Credit: To many people to write down <3):

I know, I know. It’s not going to get removed.. And I’m doing trying to get it removed completely, because I agree with some of the words that are filtered, but a lot of these things are pointless.. I’m not going to talk about these though, I’m going to talk about the party chat.
In the party chat, the chat filter is still a thing. But why though.. Yes I understand, swearing is not allowed. But, you’re with your friends! You should be able to say whatever you want to say!
‘’Omfg, how did I lose that fight? Ffs I’m so bad lmfao.’’
‘’What?! We did all that just so he could bhop on us? Son of a b****!’’
You say this to your friends, and most of the time, they don’t care!
‘’But, what if they do!!’’
You can ask them to stop, if they’re your friends, they should understand it if you don’t want them to swear.
If they don’t listen you can kick them if you’re the party owner. If you’re not? Then you can just leave! Because even if there was a filter, they will find a way around it anyway.

‘’But why would you swear at your friends?’’
We’re not swearing AT them. If you are swearing at them it would be something like: ‘’Omfg you’re such a b*** why tf did you kill me? I thought we were a team you motherf*****’’
But if you would say that, you should question your friendship.

Sometimes, we just want to joke with our friends. Is that bad? No. But the chat filter is stopping us from doing so. And it doesn’t effect anyway outside the party chat anyway.

And when somebody wants to be in a party with you, they join at their own risk since they’re not forced to join. So I see no reason to complain or report somebody. Even if they do report somebody, I don’t even think they should get punished most of the time.

Alright, let me explain a bit more. You’re with your friends, right? So if a person doesn’t want to swear, they can ask you to not swear. If he doesn’t listen? Then they should get punished. But they do need proof that
1. He was swearing in the first place.
2. That the person asked him to stop.
3. That he did it again.

‘’But Cubecraft is a child-friendly server!’’
My answer to that is and will always be: Children are most of the time the ones that are swearing.

Also: The chat filter is not going to stop anyone from saying what they want to say. It’s going to be harder. That’s it. If they want to say swear words, they’re going to say swear words. The chat filter ain’t gonna stop them. They’re going to find a way to say it, even if they have to type a whole entire Ariana Grande lyric in between the letters.

And let’s be real here.. Staff doesn’t care about most of the words. Are they going to ban you for saying ‘Easy’ or ‘Noob’? No.. No they won’t. Filtering these things are just useless..
You’re not even going to question yourself if you’re going to get muted for saying ‘easy’ or ‘noob’...

The chat filter isn’t even going to begin making people less toxic.. And you might think, that the chat filter doesn’t do anything bad.. But it actually does.. Because blocking someones chat, isn’t going to make them less mad.. No, it’s going to even make them more mad. Do you think they’re going to be less mad and not call somebody a b****? No, now they’re going to call him/her a b**** and on top of that: they’ll even get more mad!
Why do people still think the filter will make people more mad and make people not call somebody a b****?
‘’Oh well, I can’t say he’s a b****. Guess I’ll be his best friend and give him a compliment about his nice name!’’
No, nobody will do this. Chat filter is not going to stop anyone from not swearing. They’ll just find a way around it.

I’m going to have to stop myself there. I can go on for hours about the chat filter, but it’ll be a little bit to long then.. Let’s move on shall we?

Speed Eggwars Update (Credit: @ArianaBrrrande):

Speed Effect:

We all know the speed effect has been removed from speed eggwars a while ago. Yes, we have speed potions, but players can’t have speed and the kit they love to use.
So why not add a voting system? The people who liked the speed, can have a chance to get speed. The people who don’t like the speed, will have a chance of not having to deal with speed.

Yes, that’s why it got removed in the first place. But that’s why I don’t suggest to add it back completely, but with a voting system. It’s fair for everybody! Then everybody will enjoy the game!

Then leave, join another game and hope that you won’t have to deal with the speed. But let the people who love speed have their speed back!
If you disagree with this idea, because you don’t like speed.. Just think about the rest of everyone who does want it. Please don’t disagree with this idea just because you don’t like it having speed. Think about the fact that now everybody can have a chance of having what they want. And the chance is way bigger to play a game with a no speed then a game with speed..


Overpowered Mode:
So, let’s talk about overpowered mode.
There are two kinds of people: Rushers and defenders.
In overpowered you need 5 gold for full obsidian. You also need 5 gold for a diamond pickaxe. Now, if I rush. I don't want to wait ‘till I enough for a diamond pickaxe. I want to rush as soon as possible. Overpowered or not, you shouldn't be able to get full obsidian so fast. Especially in speed eggwars. You want to end the game quickly and not wait ‘till you get that efficiency x diamond pickaxe of 40 diamonds so you can break through 6 layers of obsidian.


Also, diamond armor.. Like.. Seriously? I thought these games had to be fast..


Overpowered in speed eggwars still has to be speedy..
So please, remove the diamond armor and make obsidian way more expensive.


Vanity Update (Credit: @Siftenly):

The vanity right now is kinda.. Boring.. And it really needs an update. Siftenly made a great thread with amazing ideas. In this thread I’m going to tell my ideas, if you want the full thread and all the ideas that Siftenly has, you should check out his thread :D. (Some of my ideas are only here. Most of the time ideas just pop up when I’m writing.)
Hats: Sort ‘em.. At the moment, it’s has been kinda sort.. I guess? But it can be way better.

Example:

Blocks - Food - Characters - Mobs - Flags - Halloween - Christmas - Staff
Now, this is really easy and they need probably way more categories. (For example Pokemon, Superheroes..) but you get the idea, right?

Alright, next idea about the hats..:
We have all these lovely Superheroes, right? We have Superman, Batman, Ironman, Captain America and the Hulk.. But I miss someone.. Where is Wonder Woman? She is the only woman superhero and so she’s in my opinion quite special. Wonder Woman is amazing! Where is she? It’s a simple thing but I’d love it :D!

We all know the water and fire trail. They’re beautiful.
I had a great idea, to add the same sort trail, but with rainbow colours! :D
Since I’m bad with commands, I can’t show an example. I’m sorry.

The next trail doesn’t have anything to do with rainbow or unicorns, but it still is something pretty nice. It kinda looks similar to the lava, water and rainbow trail. But it’s a bit different. A halo.. Not much to add there other then that I do not have an example.

So we all these nice good stuff.. But what if people don’t want to be good? Adding beautiful DEVIL wings would be a nice idea to announce to everyone that they like being evil.

Extra:
When you equip an armor piece, or when you change your win effect etc. you get kicked out of the vanity menu.. This is really annoying when you want to equip of change multiply things.. Who even thought this was a good idea..

Personally one of my favorite suggestions. The name Croubs comes from 2 words: Cube and Groups. As the name says, this is a group you an Obsidian rank can make using 50.000 Vanity Points.
There are different ranks, you have the leader, co-leader, VIP and member.

My idea:
When you type in chat it’ll look like this:
[Fangirls] :Obsidian: Necca_: I love Crazy Ex-Girlfriend!
[Fangirls] :Stone: LeightonMeester: I love Gossip Girl!
[Fangirls] : Diamond: ArianaGrandeVevo: I love ArianaGrandeVevo!

Removing Status Posts:
This is a really small idea, but sometimes, people remove status posts. No problem, but sometimes it’s without a good reason, the simplest things are getting removed. I think this shouldn’t be allowed. I think there has to be a good reason to remove it.

Black Theme:
It’s really annoying when you look at the site for too long. I prefer having a black theme. I think it’ll be amazing to add this.

Most people on this site can make amazing ideas, but most of them don't even get added. Yes, they can't add everything I know that. But c’mon. The server has been going down way too much and we all know it.
People say staff looks at all the suggestions, and I believe that. But I have to believe that when they aren't even fixing bugs for so long, they are actually listening to the community? Parkour has been in maintenance for over 2 years. UHC is dead, almost nothing works in the creative menu. People are crashing or getting kicked playing Tower Defence and you’re giving us a Death Messages Update….?
You’re... You’re giving us an update.. For.. Death Messages instead of getting your stuff together and making your server better..


A few last things:

• I you have another great idea that I haven’t added yet, tell me and I’ll decide if it’s worth adding or not.
  
• If a idea get’s to many hate, I’ll cross it out.

People don't always make party chat's with their friends if it was removed it would make bullying people and harassing players easier for certain players to commit to, I understand that there are a good amount of players that do join party's with their friends but I believe it is a risk not worth taking and will just create more work for the staff team.

I'm completely against the chat filter for a multitude of reasons, not only are you encouraging swearing but your simultaneously fueling an immense amount of problems and issues for the server. I understand that the chat filter, at times, could be seen as an annoyance due to it restricting communications with your friends, however one of your points that you made was that "You're in a party with your friends", which at some times, isn't 100% true. I often join parties with a friend and they have their friend there too, someone who I do not know. So that could lead to some potential tension, and could lead to someone getting particularly offended.

Alright, let me explain a bit more. You’re with your friends, right? So if a person doesn’t want to swear, they can ask you to not swear. If he doesn’t listen? Then they should get punished. But they do need proof that

That simply isn't the logic that we have for the chat filter. We have it because, most times, people will randomly swear in a spur-of-the-moment situation - but they will be blocked by the chat filter, which will hopefully make them realize that what they are saying is not allowed and they can move on. If they wish to find their way around it, we will be able to send it off and get that bypass blocked, so it's only going to get harder for everyone. :]

I've seen this thread before and it's a really cool idea, and will help for some groups to mingle and have fun on the server - just would like to see something other than the name to distinguish it a bit more than a typical clan-based idea.

We are trying to get more involved with the community as much as we can, but only so much can be done. Your suggestions are heard and are getting forwarded on, but the overall viability of it, alongside developing time and other factors, may not put it at a higher priority than other suggestions. However, you are being heard. If you want to submit some good suggestions, which I take a look at and analyse personally, then click here.

I understand that the chat filter, at times, could be seen as an annoyance due to it restricting communications with your friends, however one of your points that you made was that "You're in a party with your friends", which at some times, isn't 100% true. I often join parties with a friend and they have their friend there too, someone who I do not know. So that could lead to some potential tension, and could lead to someone getting particularly offended.

That is how it is dealt with right now. If someone is reported for swearing, then they will be punished accordingly. I can understand that setting some ground rules for someone is a bit better than seeing reports in a party that is completely out of context though.

That simply isn't the logic that we have for the chat filter. We have it because, most times, people will randomly swear in a spur-of-the-moment situation - but they will be blocked by the chat filter, which will hopefully make them realize that what they are saying is not allowed and they can move on. If they wish to find their way around it, we will be able to send it off and get that bypass blocked, so it's only going to get harder for everyone. :]

I would love to see the speed in Speed Eggwars return, it was one of the reasons why I played it on 1.8. You have my support there! :D

I love all of these suggestions, especially the categorized hat GUI. Seems like an awesome quality of life idea, which can help people. Perhaps add a menu for "All" as well. But I love it! +1

I've seen this thread before and it's a really cool idea, and will help for some groups to mingle and have fun on the server - just would like to see something other than the name to distinguish it a bit more than a typical clan-based idea.

Adding this will make moderating the forums a bit more difficult as it'll be one extra thing to moderate - it'll be pretty hectic too if lots of our community asks for their status to be deleted - but I can understand that it can be frustrating.

We are trying to get more involved with the community as much as we can, but only so much can be done. Your suggestions are heard and are getting forwarded on, but the overall viability of it, alongside developing time and other factors, may not put it at a higher priority than other suggestions.
