Hello CubeCrafters!

Today MinerWare is now on our Bedrock Edition server! For one week only, it's available to Pioneer members only, which you can purchase from our CubeCraft Games Store when playing on our Bedrock server. MinerWare is a fun minigame which mixes multiple different microgames into one big game. You'll play a total of 15 microgames and 1 bossgame, the player with the most points at the end of the game wins!

We've brought over most of the microgames, bossgames and maps from our Java Edition network for you to enjoy on Bedrock. There's a total of 33 microgames to play, with the challenge of winning one of our 2 bossgames available. You can play all these games on one of our 10 amazing and beautiful maps.

Our Bedrock Edition team has also been hard at work fixing issues and improving our Bedrock Edition network over all. We're be updating and bringing over a lot more other games from our Java Edition network for you to play and enjoy! @Camezonda it's good to see more games being added, especially as this is the first you can play with your friends without cross-teaming. I'm afraid that's all of the positives from me.

I'm really not happy about the 'pay to play' approach you've introduced. I'm sure you've figured out how to avoid breaking the EULA and all, but my respect for CubeCraft has largely vanished since this update. When I bought Minecraft I expected to have as much access to public servers as any other player, irrespective of how much money I pay to their operators. For the most part this has been fulfilled, with many non-EULA compliant servers being shut down or changing their financial approach. I liked CubeCraft because the greatest unfair advantage I could see was the ability for ranks to choose duels kits. It allows them to select the faster kits all the time which allows them to earn points quicker and buy kits affecting other games - but it's acceptable in my opinion.

What's not okay in my view is barring access to a game if the player has not bought your product. I suspect the fact that it's temporary or that you can pass it off as a testing phase (though you certainly aren't selling it that way) keeps CubeCraft in Mojang's good books, but even if I represent a very small minority of players I'd like to object against using this approach for any future releases.

Hey, at least you haven't updated the MOTD to lure everyone in only to be disappointed that they can't even play the game.

On another topic I think it's important that commands should updated to work with the Bedrock client interface in the near future, as I see many players unable to for example accept friend requests or party invites, because it outputs words to click on in chat which doesn't work for Bedrock. Sure, they can type /p accept [name], but I find few people are aware of this without some sort of prompt.

Not everybody wants to spend their money to buy a rank on a minecraft PE server. Some don't even have money to buy one. (If this is a joke please don't roast me using a meme :])
well at the moment it is not possible to play minerware without a rank and that will not change, suggestions wont change that so you either buy a rank or you dont play

Not at all! Minerware will be available for ALL players from 24th August. Pioneer members only get early access for the first week.

I'm sorry you see this as "Pay to play". I totally get why you think that but it's merely an early access opportunity.

On both the Java and the Bedrock networks we've been playing around with allowing access to a game before it's release. On Java we have done this for Content Creators (an allowed them to bring in a party of public users no matter what rank they have) and with Public Beta sessions. On Bedrock we launched with what was a very minimal product that had no monetisation. It would have been easy for us to want to get a return on our investment made over the last 2 years on a product we had just released and had the marketing support of Minecraft but we chose to focus on improving the product for all our players. For the first few months there was zero income from Bedrock (apart from Marketplace Content but that's a different area for us). Once we were happy with our offering we brought out the beta and silently introduced the Pioneer rank. We didn't announce this, we didn't plaster it over our lobbies, there was no popup for every play session it was just there if people found and wanted to buy it.

When we did advertise it we did so in a small manner. The idea of the Pioneer rank was for those that liked what we were doing and wanted to support our further development on Bedrock. The decision was made to bring over Minerware we considered adding a system to allow a number of "free" plays in it's first week along with allowing Pioneers full access for that week. The game was much quicker to port accross than we had initially anticipated so we had a decision, release it with "private" access for a week or continue development for another month or so to make a system that would handle the free plays. We decided that 7 days of access for people that had supported us was a good way to do it and it would be accessible to all users far sooner than building the free plays system would take to bring it to a limited availability.

I hope that explains our logic behind this decision. If you want to play it in the limited period feel free to get a Pioneer rank it's not going to be around for much longer as we look forward to releasing much more vanity content. We will most likely do releases like this in the future with a time limited exclusive access period but we may also allow limited "free plays" during that period too.

It's important that we strike a balance between the value people get for playing with us, the value people get for buying something from us and our ability to operate as a business.

Secondly the EULA. I appreciate the concerns raised around this and weather it is EULA complaint and I can happily say it is. It's important to note that further to the EULA we have a contract with Microsoft allowing us as a Server Partner to do more than is written in the EULA. It also provides us with access to the teams that we would have to speak to to validate such ideas before we release them. Most of the people who work on decisions like this at CubeCraft have been in the Minecraft Community for years, I myself joined in late 2010 so we have a good understanding of what we can and can't do. There are always limits but we look to work within them as well as we can.

I hope that addresses some of your concerns and feel free to reply with any others and I'll answer them as soon as I can. I'm fairly busy with this little gaming event we're doing....
