The idea ​

Hi everyone, a feature that I personally would love to see is Monthly Leaderboards. It has been suggested before, but not since the new way Feedback & Suggestions work.
The idea would be to add a monthly leaderboard in the menus next to the current 'all time' leaderboard to give new players a chance to enter the leaderboards, because it's currently pretty hard for new players to enter a leaderboard for a game that has been around for a long time.

Concepts ​

I made a few examples in Photoshop to show what it could look like. I also added a monthly & all time eliminations leaderboard, as I think this would be a great idea aswell. I've chosen for eliminations because a kills leaderboard could encourage people to farm kills, which isn't allowed.
You would be able to enter the leaderboards the same way, via the Statistics page > Select a gamemode > Select a leaderboard.

Why would this be a great idea​

• New players get the chance to enter the leaderboards
• More challenging for players
• Players will get more motivated to keep playing > higher playercount
• Eliminations would be a great addition to the leaderboards, as it brings more variation to the leaderboards and because having a lot of eliminations is a great way to show that you're skilled (same for wins).

Lots of servers have weekly and monthly leaderboards I'd like to see them

I 100% agree, this would be great for the competitive community. And would really polish the leaderboards. I hope this will get forwarded.

Yes this would be amazing to give new players a chance to get on the Leaderboards because right now Its a bit overwhelming for new players to look at the leaderboards which have been going on for years because the numbers are really high.

For me it's a good idea, I think that there should be an all times leaderboard (this already exists in the server) where the players with more kills of the server would be, and another two ones, one monthly leaderboard and one weekly leaderboard to show who are the best players of the month/week.

I really like this idea!
As you mentioned in the thread, this will encourage new players to keep playing. Meanwhile it doesnt effect the old leaderboard players. It would be unfair if they played a lot of games for nothing, so this is a great suggestion to keep everyone happy.

The eliminations leaderboard in Eggwars would be amazing. This is the best possible second leaderboard next to the wins, because a kills leaderboard would encourage people to farm kills (this isnt allowed).
In all other games (except bridges and blockwars) a kills leaderboard would work.

Conclusion: great thread! I hope this gets forwarded!

+1, also the leaderboards need to be more easily accessible. They are kind of hidden and tucked away currently

Is this a bad thing? I think its positive if there are more players grinding, because it means more active players. More active players --> better matchmaking

In my opinion, players would enjoy it more than aiming to grind wins only for the leaderboards, therefore... it is a very good idea to add monthly leaderboards.
