Web Negative reactions should not reduce reaction score

An example why is any eggwars post on a news thread where people say the like the new update, where they convey their own opinion-

“” is the reaction they get and it is unfair because it discourages unpopular opinion.

Useless internet points I know but for the helper wannabes’ sake please fix.

How can you detect if it is a negative reaction? Also, not all the negative reactions are meant wrong.

I agree that it somehow discourages having an unpopular opinion. But on the other side, what does the reaction score matter actually? It's just a number. I kinda like that your reaction score can get lower.

If you click your avatar in the upper right corner you can go to 'Reactions Recieved'. Doing some simple maths you can see the 'Sad' and 'Angry' reaction count as negatives to your reaction score.
